Thanks for the reply.. I found crossover 27q for 399 over at Gmarket, seems like its cheaper than Ebay. Btw as long as the graphic card have dual link dvi port it will work right.. Might get sapphire hd7850

Yah ... before I purchase the monitor ... I also found normal Crossover 27Q @ $399 on Gmarket. But in the end, I purchase from eBay since most of the purchase from eBay are ok.

Get a GTX670 lah ... = )

Hmmm. here's the 2 plans:

1)I see the cheapest for 2 crossover pivots (offerin this thread is 350 USD each, which is 700USD.

2)Have anyone tried offering for 2 achieva's yet? If i get the cheapest + a vesa mount, i wonder if that is cheaper or not. 270 USD for each? I dunno, sounds plausible? 540 USD. Think I can get a stand at 60 USD? :
Amazon.com: Mount-It! Articulating Dual Arm Computer Monitor Desk Mount for monitors up to 27": Office Products

Thoughts anyone?

Where can we get the Crossover 27Q pivot @ USD$350? Do you have the link? Cheapest that I found was Gmarket for about SGD$465

Achieva Shimian got Vesa mount? I am not sure about that. Crossover 27Q is about SGD$400 from Gmarket. You can try to find some vesa mount stand out there (if you can find) for <$50. Then you get to save $10-$20 per set.

I went thru all this before liao and reckon that no point .. that's why I gotten the CrossOver 27Q pivot.

I have already thought of the route you mention with various possibility. I reckon that at the end of the day ..... I may get to save maybe $20-$30

I think the +point of getting a vesa mount..save alot more space..yea i read other forums they use the achieva with vesa mount, and instead the crossover vesa mount quite "shallow"...is what i read.

Wah ... USD$350 is really cheap. You may want to contact the buyer and find out. You may try to make the same offer and see how lah.

The CrossOver pivot stand is NOT like the one that Dell uses. You may slide it up and down but it is NOT like Dell's pivot ... very smooth movement and stable. Anyway, for the price we paid .... can't complain liao.

For me ... it is about 50cm-60cm away, which is normal, I feel. If nearer .. you have to turn your head left right to see everything liao.

If further ... things may appear to be too small.

you mean dell's one is v smooth and stable? anyway im very very keen on the 2 achieva/table clamp route, cheaper and more space savings, less likely to suffer from uneven pivot stands too.

just dunno the pricing.. saw some local one at simlim but no prices on the website. dont mind spending a bit more for quality one but not too much..

At least from what I remember lah. When you slide it up ... or down ... it slide steadily. As for table clamp route .... cheaper ... seriously ... very unlikely lor, space savings ... definitely yes.

Uneven pivot stand problem ... just need some time to adjust them. I have already check out various option for pivot stands ... trust me ... unless you have some lobang which I don't know of ... the cost will be more.

From what I have check so far ... normal ok dual monitor stand cost $120-$200. Those good ones .... >$200. Not sure about you .. but if you are like me .... who wants both monitor to tilt in a inverted "V" shape facing me, the dual monitor stand to have this feature cost alot also.

That is why in the end ... I bo bian ... have to just order the CrossOver with pivot because that is the most balanced option liao. But if you managed to find any source of cheap dual monitor stand. Please kindly share.

Thanks.

They'll declare lower value on the parcel to avoid GST. But so far, there is one guy here who kana asked to go down to the custom to show the invoice/receipt of the item purchased to verify that the value is <SGD$400.

Luckily the one he gotten is non pivot, so the value purchased is <SGD$400. So there are still risk. If really kana .. then also bo bian right?
