LG Singapore is not bringing in LG34UC97 and currently only Dell Singapore is selling the Dell U3415W. Also even if you buy the LG34UC97 from online sites, LG Singapore will not provide you any local warranty.

Its the same resolution. If you're talking about aesthetic wise, yes it looks like a TV.

I know, probably getting it oversea, but not limited to only LG. Maybe some other brands, 4k monitor = 2160p right? or only 4096 x 2160?

Hmm local has quite afew 4k monitor like samsung ,Asus or phillips . Why must buy oversea ? Rma can be a problem

3840x2160, 4096x2160 are almost 4000x2160 , thats why is call 4k i think

Sorry I misread. I thought you're talking about the lg34uc97.

Yes the LG31MU97 is a 4k monitor. Commercially a 4k TV is referring to 3840x2160, 16:9. True 4k is actually 4098x2160, which is 17:9 aspect ratio.

Depends on what you are using it for. If it's just some web surfing, watching movies and some light gaming like League of Legends, Teamfortess 2, Dota 2, etc. a mid-range card can support. If you are going for high end games like Crysis 3, Battlefield 4, etc. you will need a high end card. For 4k monitors you will need SLi high end cards in order to get high and smooth framerates constantly, for 3440x1440 monitors you will need 1 single high end card with at least 4GB video ram.

Yes you can. But you have to turn down the settings to get playable frame rates. Don't fall into that trap that you need a high end card to be able to play games on a 4k monitors.

However you need high end cards if you wanna run the game in full glory.

Got it at 1399 each. Its a huge upgrade compared to my Dell U2711.

Hi guys, I'm very interested to get this monitor but may I ask if my graphic card (MSI AMD Radeon R9 290 4gb) can support FPS games like battlefield 4, Advanced warfare smoothly? On what resolution should it be played on?
