The buyer told me that he actually repair monitors. He told me that for my case, I just need to break 2 of the pin and the power adapter will work. I tried but the pin was so hard to break (they made it well).

So he told me to just cut the connector from the faulty power and swap to the working power adapter. He told me inside only 2 wire, + and -, use multimeter to test and can know which one is +ve and which one is -ve liao.

I did exactly that and FINALLY my monitor is working again.

Due to this experience, it lead me to make this video.

With this method, I can just use any power adapter from now on. But for this monitor, the power adapter is 24V 5A, when connecting, usually there will be spark, so do take note.

Also, with this method, I can now just buy any cheap power adapter with output 24V 5A to replace.

I also messaged him. But his reply is quite slow, which I kind of expected.

He also need to work for $$. So my plan is to just ask him to quote me how much he charge for me to bring the TV to him to do a analysis.

Just settle it once and for all.

If adaptor comes with this Male DC Connector 2.1*5.5mm, then just get the 1pc DC Female 5.5*2.1mm to male 4 Pin Cable Lead

This one cannot. The polarity is wrong.

Need polarity like this one then can.

Is it worth it to repair my dell s2361h monitor with cracked screen?

I got a repairman contact from carousell called Richard, he quoted me $120 for repair and 1 month warranty

1) Try another cable as well as another PC
2) If it is not cable than it is panel issue, repair cost isn't worth it.
As you can get a brand new monitor.
