So what are the solution, I’ve read up already mine was restart then no display make until my onboard cannot display, sometime restart still can display then onboard no display. Like something causing my onboard display stop working

Monday I going to replace the mobo for 2nd time. If on the spot multiple restart no issue, what are at high possible cause?

Alternatively, the simplest and fastest method to narrow the problem of faulty switch is to use the Reset switch as power_0n swtich and disconnect the current Power_On switch from the 2 pins on the motherboard header, both are electrically identical switches so it will work just like the power on switch.

Tried and confirm that the powerswitch from the casing is not well functioning with multiple test on/off. Reset switch from casing is flawless. Therefore what are the solution to fix my powerswitch delay?

Overall i need to fix the cause that restart doesn’t display from my gpu/vga sometime.

My suggestion is to replace the Power_On switch since confirmed not working well.

Fault could be just as simple as replacing the faulty switch, when the switch is not in proper working order, you can expect some weird things happen like unable to POST and no display etc... . If the switch create a continuous connection, you are doing a more than 4 seconds holding down the switch to initiate a force shutdown without a restart because the switch couldn't release and do a Power on again unless the connectivity is off again.

The switch is pretty cheap, you can get replacement from SLS s or if you trsut me, PM me your address, I post you a replacement switch FOC, I got a couple of spare switches which I rarely use. Cheap but troublesome to travel all the way to SLS just to buy a less than $2 switch, you decide what you want. :)

Feel free to dig this forum on Nigel's standard of service. There's a reason why multiple people recommend him here. Not just me.

i believed it should be a simple solution just that TS cant nail it down.
thats why suggest going to Nigel.
i think Nigel might not take money if he cant solve the problem.

anyway, it is TS call.

Bro commach had already stated his hypothesis.....which i concur.

You can request Nigel to work on this.

But before that, do tell him what you had done so he can eliminate certain possibilities.

Good luck!

Do come back here and tell us the cause. Thank you!!

Ask him what other part and how it can cause the issue? Clearly, they are trying to push away the blame without much or no proof.

They say possible cause by CPU and they saw a burn mark on my processor. (This burn mark already seen during my first RMA on mobo)(But Nigel in SLS say no burn mark)

Should I RMA my processor while waiting for my mobo to be fix?i don’t know how the intel RMA process really works. I’ve seen the other thread/official intel warranty website which is quite vague. I need some guide to process my warranty.

While GPU, I went to the disturbtor they say the possible cause are my PSU and MOBO.(Today)

I went to Nigel he say my casing not good and without mobo he can’t test my system. As he can’t help with my power button switch.. only way to use the reset switch as power on.. as I decided to change my casing after my mobo is being fixed

To recall abit, I confirm that my power on switch is one of the issue.

**Now the main issue is restart com totally no display from mobo and gpu. Causing the mobo to be dead** <— I’m afraid that once I get back, the same issue will happen again..

So far what i've RMA-ed

- Power Supply
- Motherboard
- CPU (Pending)

So far what i've tested

- GPU (Tested on manufacturer & Friend house)
- RAM
- Casing (Confirm faulty with the power on)

If i bought a new casing, change power cord, change my home extension socket, and my old main issue didn't resolve, What is the final issue? SSD already? If SSD i can go kill myself le

I seriously don't see the need to replace the casing just because of a faulty switch which can easily be replace.

Can you recommend me which shop in SLS sells? Or I go find you to get one later?i know that it can be easily replaced, but issit possible to replace the power button directly in the casing instead of extension out to the casing?

Most of the electronic shops in SLS or SLT sells casing power_on switch, a cheap and easy to replace item cost around $2 or even cheaper. If you can dismantle motherboard, PSU etc.... there isn't any reasons you're not able to change a faulty momentary switch without extending out from the casing as a direct replacement.
