i have a question- lets say if you intend to go for a run, but u don't want to bring your phone so you only wear the moto 360. what functions will still work on the moto 360? or will the smartwatch have to be near a smartphone to work at all?

see this article
My morning with the Moto 360 and RunKeeper | writing about tech

Android Wear is supposed to be able to run without phone in future, but seems moto360 may not have built in GPS.. future wearables should have it

Next for Android Wear: customized watch faces, GPS and offline music playback

Smartwatches with built-in GPS sensors such as Sony's SmartWatch 3 will track your distance and speed when you go on a run. There's no official word whether GPS support includes turn-by-turn direction or whether a map that tracks your position will be displayed, but it seems like one of the obvious uses for a wrist-worn device.

The comments here: Google to add GPS and more features to Android Wear in upcoming updates debate vigorously whether smart watches should have GPS (battery life)..

yea and it's funny that resellers are selling both types of grey as "LIMITED EDITION" and charge extra $20 ~ $50 for it :s13:

actually they are right for the Grey leather as limited edition because its not in production anymore

you can use your phone's HP charger, the wireless charger itself uses a MICRO USB to plug into it

Well, my friend's Moto 360's back has some cracks already according to him. From the Pebble steel metal watch band of course. I mentioned it to him the other time when someone shared a link here to me. He says he knows the risks when he bought it, but don't really mind it that much.

But I didn't expect so fast crack. It's been like a week or 2 only i think? Probably because of smaller wrist causing more pressure where the band meets the back. So yeah.

Even old school type like this works .. The top and bottom are for 2pin flats. Or Europe 2pin round.

Ya even those with stock bands may also crack if worn too tightly. Hope I'm wearing at position 6th hole is OK.

Worrying man gotta be careful with this watch..

Mine now about an hr stands at 92%. Should be normal. Like a phone. When u unplugged it, its not at 100% but should be trickle charged at around 98-99% when u unplugged.

with the new update not so fast, can last me 1 day at least, back at hotel at least about 50% now i think.. but when i'm back in singapore then i can have a more accurate feel ba

and battery can last through the night when Sleep as Android app is used. Next morning need to charge only, but charging with screen off is pretty fast. Used tasker to automate it

used Comgateway's BuyForMe service and just got notified that the watch has been shipped to my U.S. address.

just to let you guys know that if you have no friends in the states to help ship over, you can actually use the buyforme service and it works! (=
