Hi,

I'm considering the watch but I'm actually more concerned with the battery life of the phone when connected to the watch all the time. For those who have been using the watch for some time, how much does it affect your phone's battery?

Also, what functions are available on the watch when it's not connected to the phone?

Thanks.

checked liao... US ip, still still block.

Blocked means couldn't access or still said not avail in ur country? Were u using a clean browser and not logged in to ur existing Google acc? U will have to start with a clean browser and not logged in to the accounts u're using regularly. Best is to just create a new acc just for this purpose. As mentioned before, ur account must be clean. There must not be any traces of ur acc accessed from other countries other than US.

since its using BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy) there is hardly any noticeable battery drain on your phone

when watch is disconnected from phone it has steps/heart rate/changing to another stock watch face.. and notifying you of previously synced calendar events... etc..

Some XDA users reported that they got the update after resetting the watch. Tried on mine but still no update after reset.

Mine got updated this morning while waiting for the bus.

Maybe it is being rolled in phases to avoid overloading the servers?

Yeah I would like to know how Motorola define phases :p

So far you can hide messages if u would like the clock face to only show the time by swiping the message down. This does not close the message but rather hide it until you would like to see it again (swipe up from bottom screen).

Also for the music player can adjust volume and fwd or rev in a single screen.

Cannot comment on batt life as I just got the update this morning. But my batt seemed to be drained faster compared to before. This could be due to installing the update. But I hope it is really the case.

seems like the watch is more sensitive to movement before it lights up. Previously have to really rotate quite a bit and bring it up for it to light up, now more sensitive liao.
