It's a 1 day bus tour around Fuji-san, no climb. In Aug the tour runs every Mon and Thurs. There's actually a choice of full day or half day tour. Tour runs from 0850-1800hrs with lunch break (not supplied) back at starting point.

Wow! You give some tips.

Before trip start do a light dayhiking once a weeks in Singapore around Bedok Reservoir or Macz Reservoir Park.

If possible get a proper hiking shoes or boots depend your backpack carry load.

And 2 Pairs of Middle or Heavyweight Hiking Socks and Thin Layer Sock Liner help to reduce your foot blister.

Questions for veterans out there. I went about today looking at gears for the climb, particularly jackets. The initial plan was for proper hiking apparel, then I went about checking out cheaper alternatives. Then I came about thinking that I most probably will be using the jacket this once. So are these cheaper 3in1 jacket alternatives from winning($148), coldwear($139) and some other travel store be an option?

No problem as long they are waterproof. You can layer with other things to keep warm.

okie.
Anyone how was the humidity in summer? I dun mind the summer if the humidity is low. No sweat. haha.

the kawaguchi route starts almost 2000m up, so its cooling up there., even though its hot and humid at sea level.

I recommended go for DBS MSIG also cover for Oversea Outdoor Hiking or Trekking Trip.

Last year i sprained my right foot during my hiking trip in Japan. Able to claim for Out-Patient treatment bill on Hospital no problem. You can request the Doctor for medical reports.
