just wondering,
since the laptop has no cd drive
if windows go siao or what, how?

You can always create a Windows 8 recovery partition on an external harddisk and recover from there.

Windows 8 allows recovery creation on Disc, local drive and external drive. :)

If you need a drive you could plug in external DVD drive?

okay....but why would i have an external dvd drive when 99.9999999999% of pc and laptop have an internal cd drive..
what i meant was is there any alternative where i can save/recover my pc without a cd drive

but when i brought it home and charged it, the charger turned itself off after it charged finish

so how do i charge it for 8hours/ do i need to charge it for 8hours?

This laptop happened to be part of the 0.0000000001% of laptop/PC that does not have an internal drive. It's the same thing for people who buy laptops like the Razer Blade or the retina macbook pro, they also have no internal optical drive and need to buy an external one.

As mentioned by pc_dreams you can do recovery partitions on an external source

To your first question, solution already provided. Instead of creating a recovery disc, create a recovery partition on an external harddisk.

To your 2nd question, no need to charge 8 hours. Just charge to full will do. Charging 8 hours is a standard phrase to use so as consumers will charge their devices to full battery no matter which laptop or phone/tablet they buy. :)

By the way, more than 25% of laptops sold do not have DVDRW drive now. If you total the numbers of laptop + tablet, then more than 60% of devices now do not have DVDRW drive. :)

Under pc settings from the right hand Chimes bar (slide out menu), look for "PC and devices" menu option. That will allow you to turn on and off bluetooth.

But actually it is ok to leave it on.

1) Random people cannot connect to your laptop unless you paired it with a passcode. If you do not want to broadcast your bluetooth, you can turn off the discovery mode.

2) Bluetooth 4.0 is actually very low powered, thus it does not really drain your battery life. So it is pretty ok to leave it on.

pair with passcode is when a bluetooth device wants to pair with your laptop, usually a 4-digit passcode appears on both devices and you need to verify before the devices will pair.

Personally, I don't recommend installing from CD as its very slow. Normally, I keep a copy of the OS on a thumb drive, and will install from it directly. The DVD rom is probably the slowest device on a PC so far.

Problems with wifi card

I got my GS70 for about 3 weeks and all is a blast but recently I had to do system recovery because my wifi was suddenly dead, as in I couldn't switch it on as it is not even highlighted, anyone has similar experiences?
