Dont know if cold boot will make last settings (wifi, bluetooth and etc) go back to disabled or not.

Its a very good laptop been using for a year 0 issue but on windows 8 i got issue with the killer network ethernet. On cold start there is no applications listed there a restart after cold boot then the applications on killer network will show up.

Cold boot is 1st power up from laptop. no such issues on windows 7 but upgraded to 8 i got this problem. Not really a big deal just do a restart can liao.

Every time must restart I will sure cfcm.

in long run, still branded is more reliable. But of course depend on your usage.

Actually should bring it down for servicing if everyday must restart. May be soon it will not be able to boot up.

Another issue is on windows 8 I get memory leak. Have to disable windows 8 network monitoring to solve the issue.

Warranty wise no use as this is drivers or software related so I don't think bringing down will solve anything.

On the bright side if you have a GT series the graphics card is upgradeable if you know how to do it. I change my gtx670m to gtx680m with no issues to date.

So mine is basically a windows 7 firmware or bios with windows 8 software installed not windows 8 firmware and windows 8 firmware.

Fan wise is the same it gets pretty loud with turbo fan on but it can cool beastly cards like gtx680m or gtx780m and cpu with only a single fan. Very impressive

I see and understand the issue now. Some brand the service centre can upgrade the bio for u. Now I have Lenovo and ASUS. Never use MSI before.

Its only a minor software issue dun sweat over it. But among so many laptops i used, my msi has 0 issue for a year and my alienware m17xr4 got keyboard n wireless card issue but have been replaced from warranty.

So i can pretty much say msi is pretty awesome.
