Isn't warranty from the manufacturer? Is it international warranty and can we pay to upgrade to 3 years warranty?

All MSI warranty is from MSI.

1st year warranty is international. Warranty extension is only applicable for additional 2 years LOCAL warranty only. It is not possible to extend international warranty with MSI.

We took over MSI service centre as the previous MSI service centre gave very poor service. We decided to take over the service centre as we feel that it is a waste that such good products are tied will such poor service (by previous repairer). Currently, we act as transition for MSI to find a another repairer due this time.
PC Dreams is making monthly losses to be MSI service centre. We hope MSI can quickly find another repairer to take over as well.
Just a note. :)

Do not know why he keep thinking I am one of u? Believe that the best way to troubleshoot is to send machine to the engineer to look at it.

I see. Would you be able to introduce someone to us with minimum A+ cert? There is no Laptop repair certification in Singapore by the way. All other related certification are not entirely the same to our repairs, which covers all brands of laptops and smartphones. :)

We seriously have difficulties hiring qualified staff. Around 10% of our interviewees could be hired. Out of those hired, 30% could not even pass their 3 months probation standard set. Raising the standards anymore will mean either we increase the repair cost dramatically or have our service shut down.

Possible to send me the PM again so that we can review again? It is no longer in our PM box already.

Thank you. :)

own a GT780DXR, HDD failed during 1st year -> promptly replaced by corbell service center (this is before PC Dreams take over the warranty), no complain about the service.
LCD screen got vertical line after 1,5 year (warranty over already) -> contacted PCdreams, they willing to help but price quoted a bit high, so ownself order new screen and install no issue.
Anyway, both screen and HDD i think just suey, part made by other manufacturer, not really MSI fault. What I can say about MSI is that at least the design is quite good. easy to repair. no excessive use of glue or need super special tool to access kind of thing.
