Hi doody, do you think you could help me a bit? I registered as a user in the NSI wind forums but I tried sending the confirmation email a few times to activate the account but it never came.

I'm not an admin so I'm not able to do anything about user registration - sorry .

Hi folks.. will try out the new drivers when I rtn from my short trip.. just to confirm again that before install the new drivers we need to remove the existing ones izzit?? no way to over-write the old with the new eh??

Any more test carried out and confirmed since the new drivers rolled out?

If i am not wrong FN + F10 now puts your book into power saving mode instead of Turbo mode. So instead of over-clocking it, it deems down the screen brightness and fixed the cpu to 800mghz, to conserve energy.

In the reviews I have read, if I didn't misinterpret it, that button overclocks when ac power is connected. If on battery, it underclocks instead.

Yes, but right now we can't get it to overclock at all - It only underclocks.

As I have not installed the new driver.. i plugged in the usb adapter now.. as I cant afford the line to be disconnected...

Hi,

What i did was just download the new drivers and then install them, they automatically overite the old drivers. Why i know? becoz i need to key in the wep key for my routers again again installing and restarting my book.

hehe using a 2 day old pinky book........saw it in a store and it was the last piece. So cannot tahan and grab it.

I got a few question to ask regarding MSI wind

Firstly does the new driver really work and make the wifi ok without dc?

Lastly how is MSI wind compare to asus eee pc and really worth it?? What is all your review?
