hey did u guys see the dissection and power consumption test done by vr-zone?

"From our tests, the Wind will last an approximate 1 hour 15 minutes at constant full load an and approximate 2 hours and 15 minutes under normal usage conditions."

Bah, it seems like they've measured the power drain wrongly. The figures for normal usage seem correct though.

The price of the Eee PC 701 isn't dropping yet - still a bit too early. Wait for the 901 to be released.

I think there was an ad by Best Denki yesterday that offered the Eee PC 702 (8G SSD) for $448 or $398 (for Best Denki members). The catch? You can get the Eee PC at this price if you have purchased $888 of products from them. Still, it is a good deal if you had wanted to buy something there. Wonder if anyone would take up the offer and sell it cheaply on ebay later... Can expect prices for Eee PC 70x to drop further once Eee PC 901 hits the market.

guys, if you really want MSI wind with 6 cell, then hold off buying!!! wait till 6 cell batteries are available before committing!

btw, does anyone know what's the difference in the materials required for 3 cell and 6 cell batteries? if its just difference in the number of cells, then they could have just produced more 6 cell batteries and less 3 cell batteries? kind of lame to say shortage of batteries when 3 cells are readily available(unless they tell me the 3 cell batteries are stockpiled since way back)
