Hi Corbell...I bought my MSI Wind at sitex show.

I realise 2 thing
01) I change to Window classic style but it keep changing back to xp style....sometime re-start ok sometime change back

02) the USB port on the right think is spoilt/loose.....i plug in sometime can detect sometime cannot.....must press it down slant it then can work...pls advice can 1-1 change a new set? cos the left side 2 usb port no such problem

0) how to use the reovery CD, it don seem to boot

I just bought an MSI Wind myself. First thing I did when I got back was to try intsalling Ubuntu. It all installed nicely, except that I couldn't get the wireless drivers installed - even even checking through the several guides online and on the Wind forums.

Then tried installing Vista Ultimate from thumbdrive. Just finished. Required separate driver installations for Bluetooth, LAN, wireless and VGA updated drivers. The wireless and LAN connections were tricky as the XP drivers had to be used (set compatability modes to XP), but it's all up now.

Well, if you've stripped Vista off the glitz and visual effects, it seems about as responsive as on XP, but I didn't spend a lot of time on XP after bringing the new toy back.

There are reports though of persons getting about 10% better battery on Vista.

What's surprising though was Ubuntu's performance. I thought it felt rather sluggish.

Fatdeals I think has a good bargain at $680 on their web site, but their web site says they're out of stock.

I checked SLS and the only shop that sold it was Bell, and they asked ~$720+ for it, so I got it from them. Cash and carry.

so after Sitex, where's the cheapest to get me a black Wind? :o

Thanks for the info! Bell's price's not too bad. I thought fatdeal's price was $718.. hmm..
