Hi all,
I am currently looking for a netbook. Potentially MSI Wind U100 or 120.

What is currently the best package or price and where to get it?

Hi, saw someone posted about the latch of the LCD (U100plus) being very loose as compared to other notebooks. Do you guys also experience the same thing? Is that normal?

My only grouse is the LCD hinge is quite loose when opened. Slight jerk will tilt the screen, compared to my wife's 1000HE LCD screen is stiff when opened.

I've noticed the Wind's hinge is 2-point contact while the Asus LCD hinge runs along the entire width of the LCD.

Any way to "tighten" the hinge for the Wind?

I just got mine at Carrefour priced at $699 few days ago. Free KB & LCD protector. With Everyday credit card another 5% rebate, so works out to be abt $650.

Hello ...

I have a problem on my MSI wind ...

Each time I turn ont the "TURBO" function which enable to wind to be overclocked .... the systems appears to be find initially ...until after a period of time the wireless connection becomes unconnected and then it is unable to detect any networks. Problem will be solved once i rebbot the system ...

And then, when I turn on the TURBO again .....same thing repeats ...

Any answers to this Corbell? :s12:

There is a recovery partition on the harddisk for recovery. You can enable this by pressing the F3 key after the initial boot screen, before the OS loads. If the recovery partition is corrupted you can also make use of the recovery cd which is included. Of cos the requirement is you need to have an ext usb cd/dvd drive.
