joined the msi wind family recently~

tested the ralink N wireless connection with my dir-655

speed is not bad. on par with wired connections at times

your chariot software is original one? it very expensive de le.. unless.....

hi msi users,
i have a problem connecting to the wireless at home. There is no problem with the modem/router, as my laptop can connect w/o any problems. Howeve, the msi u100 plus always connects with 'limited or no connectivity' although signal strength is 5 bars!
The adapter inside is 'atheros ar928x wireless network adapter'. Anyone face this problem as well? This netbook can't suft the net... defeat the purpose of my purchase sia.

so sad... my power adapter spoil

it does not charge plugged in

tested with multimeter and confirm got no power detected at the jack, got power between 3pin plug to adapter, but no power from adapter to jack

conclude is adapter spoiled...

Those of us using 6 or 9cells

i think the case may not be suitable?
the battery is thicker and thus may not fit in this slim-fit case that can be used without taking out the netbook

yup u r right, it can't fit into my 6cell msi wind. anyway, if anyone is

interested in the said leather case kindly pm me.

went sls and funan today to check out the prices for MSI Wind U100+ and U100E (9cell model)

6cell with 2gb ram = $599-690 (mostly sell $699)
9cell with 2gb ram = $680-690 (only one shop gives me $680)

im thinking whether to get 6cell or 9cell set..



edit: a lot of shops told me that 6cell sets are phasing out very soon, limited stocks left.. so 9cell set (u100E) will over take this model in time to come..

it would be $568 or something lidat..

its at bell systems, #05-68/69 and unfortunately the only one left is the white color set (display set)

dont know when the next batch of stocks will arrive..

very tempted to buy but its a display set...

i'm more keen in the 9cell set now
