My desktop cannot power on

Guys, its really my psu issue. I have bought a spare psu and test. it work. seems that it's my psu causing the problem and long term issue. one side question.. during a year using my desktop.. i have encounter power trips due to lightning of bad weather. can it cause damage to my pc?



Then each time i call it a day, i need to off my plug to prevent wastage of electricity. Then how do i safety off my power supply each time i call it a day?

If ur psu is good, it will prevent dmg to other components.

Do people buy $150 PSU that can't handle daily on-off which cheap commercial PSU can?

No need to off the switch on the PSU, just off the wall socket mains will do. This is my practice with both my desktops on the right -->

psu itself got a switch, most likely beside the power cable. and don't need to off everyday la. the standby power consumption is really really low, spend less than a dollar a year better than buying new psu right
