I just did RMA for Corsair DDR4 RAM, they even paid for shipping. I just needed to come up with a box. Once RMA is approved they'll replace for you, don't worry about it.

Usually I don't use so big. :s22:
I use this

The RAM I put inside ESD bag than bublewrap it throughly.
If got box than will be best sometimes no box.
For myself I spend about $2 for the envelope than $9.30 for the shipping.

Total about $11, for you is because you add the weight of the box that is why you pay more. :s13:

I RMA Z890 Apex with amazon Germany

FedEx charge $190 SGD ship to Slovakia
Amazon refuses the delivery, FedEx ask me what to do - I told them discard, they acknowledge.

Few days later, shipment arrive in my front door, get billed $62 for tax and extra $270 for return shipping
Total out of pocket $526

Amazon at least gave me full refund despite not receiving the item.

fk Fedex, I'm in process of doing a charge back with the bank.

You can RMA with Amazon? I thought nowadays Amazon will punt to manufacturer once the return window is over.

Yes so don't throw.
But to RMA are subjected for terms and conditions.
I only know G.Skill is straightforward others not so.

ya you can, with amazon SG it will be free paid return, amazon germany is the annoying one because they make you send it to Slovakia (you must choose one of the big couriers, SingPost don't even ship there) - or they may just offer you a partial refund and you don't have to return the item

Corsair also quite straight forward based on my friend experience.
Contact them. tell them the issue with screenshot, take pictures of the kit with serial number. Once RMA approved, they give label to send them. They received, checked, and they send a replacement. the whole process 2-3 weeks, if i remember correctly.

i sent RAM back to Adata ard Dec 2025 for RMA as well. Actually bought it off Carousell for a friend second hand but DOA, it came with the original box so Adata still accept. They sent back brand new one in ~1 month later. Paid ~11 to Singpost and used that envelop send to Taiwan

Most vendors require the original packaging and all sticks to be returned. The latter requirement is a bit risky nowadays, since you may get a refund of the purchase price instead of a replacement. Probably more worthwhile to keep one working stick of RAM rather than do the RMA.

Idk for this, but was an intern for one of the distributors in SG back in poly.

They need original packaging as well as invoice cause the parts can be from prebuilts like Aftershock which have their own time-limited warranty by the prebuilt company itself, those cannot claim from distributor directly as a consumer. The SN is printed on the box so can easily tell if the box is reused or not
