Don't think I'm that capable, certainly not to the level of reaching national newspaper notoriety, the credit is all theirs, unfortunately. But things should improve with their ongoing remedial action.
no, no dun get the wrong idea, i meant at least to some of us here, almost every post u made, looks to be bashing MyRepublic not doing a good job.

If u think the pple managing these issues are really doing a terrible job and you can do better than them easily. why not send them your resume?

Did you receive the MyRepublic email that blitzio quoted?

Unless I read wrongly, it says no need to update them, wait for them to contact you.

No sound no picture after received an email for reschedule due to OpenNet issue. called them several times, different CSO given different answer.:(:(

gave up, decided to re-contract with the current ISP. to my surprised, the current ISP straight away gave me the appointment date from OpenNet and now all problem resolved..

I believe quite number of MR subscriber that been delayed for installation cancel order...

recon is instant.

We have lots of cancel cases due to other ISP refusing to let go of the line. Thus, making us unable to take over the line.

The best part is your CSO kept on giving different story, different answer. 1 said in 1 weeks time will settle and you will be receiving a call by today. by end of the day, no call made. the other 1 when i call back and ask why no call made, she's like "oh sorry, we did it again" let me see what can i help you on this, then she came back to me that OpenNet only can give them answer in 1 weeks time and let us know when the resources is free up. your FT also not able to handle frustrated customer well, just tell :" thats nothing we can do now, we will escalate this to our management " so standard, must well you guys put it as an automated answer machine? not flexible.

I'm not trying to be a difficult customer but i just want a definite answer and a apologize from MR to admit that you guys over committed.

technician no show, no proper follow up call, no compensation, and only a yes - you must pay for the penalties....

Ok, correct me if i'm wrong.

as far i know, the modem i'm using is white color from Nucleas Connect, which means is the first batch of NGNBN.

now i have to change it to black box.. should be OpenNet so the ON must come down and activate the 2nd Port and do swapping to lesser down the service down time.

I must say the CSO is not up to par...seriously lacking in a lot of areas...

for technician (from MR) no shows, I personally have not experienced it. Infact, the guy that came over to my place called me in advance to ask if he can come over earlier on the day of installation itself, on both original installation 2 years back, and this current switch to 1gbps.

for follow up calls, I can only say that they are on the slow side, and many times late, but they still do call me back.
I do remember 2 years back when I started off with MR, I have the same unsettled felling before my installation is activated. But once dates are set (at least for me), no delays on the actual day.

For compensation, from what I understand, it is charged by ON and not MR (except for the $48 admin fee)

Do you know if the ON appointment is for Fibre Takeover (FTP) or activation of Port 2 on your Termination Point (TP)?

not too sure about that, but M1 is also an OpCo, so the black box you talking about should be from M1 and not ON.

Just curious... did they actually use the 2nd port on the TP instead of the original one you were using?

Send me a email (solomon@myrepublic.com.sg), if it's due to opennet issue. Cancelation has no charge.

Dear Nivlek1985,

to be honest, your FT already super insisted to me that the charges applies, i had wrote in to dispute and also noticed those authorities.

Your FT denied to admit OpenNet issue, i showed her the mail from MR said that due to ON fault, MR not able to complete the installation.

No appointment date from ON and she can very sure that ON will come to my house in 2 weeks time to settle the issue, if after 2 weeks not settle you can choose to cancel the order..."Some Charges applies"

I'm like... WTF???

from the sales person is to activate my 2nd Port. ICIC, the black box is from M1, but the white box modem is from Nucleas Connect when i first started to use fiber.

when you free... go check and see if they changed the port physically on the TP...

seriously curious to know if they actually switched the port

I assume you know of the additional charges to activate Port 2 on the TP right?

When is your appointment date for ON?

Every case is special and unique in it's way. I would look into each case and decide what's the best action to take and what i can offer customer.
