It will be waived if your contract ended and u recontract.
Can check which scenario are you? :D

Yes this is my scenario

so disappointed.

Updated: just call to their billing enquiry number and after 10 minutes of waiting (listening to their advertisements), somebody answered and straight away offer to remove that $58 from my billing. So simple that I believe they are used to this situation.

7 Months of wait and still counting, still no firm up dates from them to install my line. Well Done!

I also waited for 7 months for my 1gbps. Different responses I got from them. One told me my area got resource issues. The other told me my existing contract not up yet they can't convert.

I believe the first sales person didn't know it should NOT be waived (as their website doesn't mention). But since they've already promised, and received a lot of complain recently, the management decided to give discount to whoever call in/complain.

Any black and white eg email from them to honour this?

Of course, correspondence done via email. I just send them a support ticket. I also never receive my account login info at all..
going to terminate my CC payment arrangements later...they are just not responding...

We are watching

Hi guys, I know that we have not been very active on the forums for the past few months, and you guys are often looking for us. I apologise for that, on behalf of all the other MR staffs as well. We are currently working on a project which we are all very excited for. It is an App, which will be scheduled to be released in Aug if all goes well. This is one of the main reasons why there was a lack of presence here.

Another reason was that we are currently expanding, and most of the manpower was being focused on training new staff. Again, I apologise for the lack of customer service standard in the recent months.

However, we still read the threads now and then whenever we are free, and should there be any major issues, do feel free to drop us a PM regarding it and we assist wherever we can. We have been replying PMs for a while now.

Do continue to support MyRepublic! :D

why should we care if we can get things sorted out over the phone?

Because not everyone is bloody free to use the phone all the time. There's no black and white in talking over the phone . They can promise you the sun and the moon over the phone.

Strange... most of my clients would be a lot more happier if I am willing to support them over the phone, rather than to force them to send email.

If you have a problem, phone call is the fastest way to get it solved. For communication, a talk is also the easiest and fastest way to express your concern. I really don't understand what you mean by not free to make a phone call but free-enough to write an email. You write faster than you talk mah?

If you want black and white, can always ask them to send you a confirmation email after the conversation. At least even if that email come slow, it won't delay your problem to be looked into.

idk - I prefer email communication. It's easier for me to type everything out in a clear and concise manner than talk about it on the phone. Online Chat support would be a great alternative too.

Don't really like phone support - It gets frustrating when the person sounds like he couldn't care less or uncertain.

idk - when I called them to complain about the $58 set up fee they confirmed to remove it for me in 5 seconds, then a few minutes later, the invoice got updated.

Not sure how long it would take if I sent an email to them.

IMO, yes because MR need your consent before they proceed to book an appointment with OpenNet.

if you want you can cancel now and argue with them about the cancellation fee. As far as they are still unable to provide any firm commitment (e.g. installation appointment, contract), you will still win if need to bring this to court.
