In fact, real world wifi transfer speeds rarely get more than half of the negotiated link speed.Wow wireless can drop so much? 60%?

Can any expert share why homeplug is worst than wireless?
You can refer to Direct Vs Homeplug Vs Wireless.
imho, I find homeplug more consistent in performance compared to wireless. Can any expert share why homeplug is worst than wireless?

I have been using homeplug ever since its 85mbps version till the latest 600mbps ones. Aside from the earliest model, Homeplug from its 200mbps version up (less the infamous 1Gbps limited edition) has been solid performers in its own rights. On average, the latest version yield me a respectable 120~130mbps of actual throughput consistent.
Got Problem!
Registration online got problem....I got a confirmation email but when I called up just now, they say didnt received....I sign up 2 days ago!
Can Mr handle so large customer base ?

Can Mr handle so large customer base ?
I seem to recall reading something along the lines of 15,000 customers acquired over 2 years. Doesn't sound large at all. At this rate, they'll add the additional 10,000 customers (for the 1 gig plan) over at least a 12 month period.
That said, this promotion will stir up a lot of interest and create awareness among folks they weren't able to reach earlier, so perhaps we'll see accelerated growth, possibly at the expense of M1 (the previous price leader).
BUT, given that there are likely to be delays in activation for those of us already on MR (since ON will need to activate the second fibre in order to switch customers over from NC as the OpCo to MR as the OpCo without service disruption, and since ON can take 1-6 months to activate the second fibre), I expect the actual MR subscriber growth to be fairly gradual (due to ON activation delays), and I expect MR will be able to cope with the growth rate. Either way, fingers crossed.
Personally, I've signed up for the upgrade and am looking forward to comparing MR's 1G v/s SH 1G, particularly on international. MR's current international download speed is < 80 for even the 150 plan (according to the Samknows results posted by Bolts - https://reporting.samknows.com/repo...120120131231/3e7ff0681d0eedaaaacb892933e3e6d2 ) - hopefully we'll all see better speeds soon.
Exactly my worry is whether the migration from NC can be seamless, esp when certain things are not under MR control. OpenNet is well known for its lousy service delivery.
It's doesn't really bother me if I get 100M or 1G speed.

Changing to an Asus ac router shouldn't make a difference in coverage. Just higher speeds if your client also supports ac.How about N66U, wired and wireless?
If change to newer Router need one that has further distant coverage, some of my rooms are blocked by walls. So far N66U is good, worry if change although speed is faster but wireless coverage suffer.
Advise me which model for 1Gb and also wireless coverage match or better than N66U, thank.
