N56u and above will support up to 1000mbps on wired.
N56U can support up to 1Gbps? Are you sure?

I think the only question that needs to be asked and is still not answered is does MR have it own infra up and running yet? Or are they preselling everyone NC bandwidth on the hope of getting it up or not in the future.
guys wad does 300+300 means on the spec?
im currently still on my old MR plan, Once i upgraded to the new Ultra, when will they start charging the OTC and such?
Mine is estimated on Q3 2014.

Im still thinking what to do with my RT-N66U.
can the $100 voucher be kept till i decide to upgrade my router?
or do MR have a Trade in offer for this?
Hi, I was talking to a CSO yesterday with regard to the router and wireless problem and the answer he gives me was rather weird. According to him, for the cheapest router, the wired speed can only support up to 300mpbs, the second up to 867mpbs and the last up to 1300mpbs...
Is this true??
TBH, what he say and what I read is so different I'm getting very confused now. Not exactly a hardware guy, so any help would be appreciated.
For the modem, is it a rental? And how many ports does it have? I'm thinking of connecting directly from the modem to my pc instead now.
Also, how can I check if my pc can support the 1gpbs speed?
What is cat5 and cat6? Which one should I use?
And for the router, I'm choosing the second model and realize they have this 802.11ac, something my laptop wireless adapter doesn't support. what will be the max speed my laptop wireless can handle? My laptop have a 802.11n, i think..
Will myrepublic provide me a 802.11ac adapter or do I have to buy myself? And if so, which usb adapter would you recommend?
In fact, would it be better if I take the cheapest router instead?
What is the international speed cap?
On both Asus and Myrepublic website, they advertise the wireless speed as 300+300, 300+900 and 300+1300, and on asus website, they add them together and say the router and support the speed up to 600, 1167 and 1900. So does it mean for wireless, the highest speed I can obtain at the best condition is the added together value?
Like for example, the AC56U state "The 5GHz band works at up to 867Mbps, while the 2.4GHz frequency tops 300Mbps, serving an incredible combined bandwidth of 1167Mbps". Does this mean the best speed I can get is 1167mpbs?
How can i check if my online order is in order and being process? Cause when I try to click on the link send by myrepublic, instead of showing me my order is being process, it went back to the first page, as though i've never make any order yet. Is this normal?
Sorry if this seem to be rather long winded, rather new to this.
Wired.... not wireless... It can support close to 900mbps on wired.

I read the specs as 300Mbps under data rate...unless there are condition that are not mentioned there...900Mbps...may I ask where you get this data?
300Mbps thats wireless
900Mbps he means to plug it in your LAN cable and use wired.
Yes I understand the part where when it is hardwired will achieve 900Mbps, I want to know where mentioned this 900 Mbps
1. No one knows really but do you seriously think they can survive without oversubscription? Maybe you should start an ISP with 1-2 users with each given 10Gbps bandwidth.
2. I'm sure MR lawyers are very careful what they put in corporate quotations or SLA since they can be held accountable for it. If that is worse case scenario then all IS department will take that figure into consideration in risk assessment.
3. CIR is for frame relay network only. How many horsepower does a Tesla S have? Since Tesla can't give you an answer that means it equals 0 so it can't move?!
I don't think he is because he just saved me $10 from subscribing to the gamer plan which I probably don't need! (since I mostly play on local and SEA servers).

Different scenario man... providers are supposed to quote a CIR in the worst case scenario, not quoting one = how the hell you know whats the minimum guaranteed speed in the worst case the network is oversubscribed to high heavens? Are you trusting that VQ will always provide you the speed close to what you signed up for as a commit? It's a lot of llst and accept it unless you can afford to pay for high CIR. I've got both VQ and MR connection and both have been performing to spec as far as I'm concerned. Why are you so concerned over CIR? :|
