Thx. How about the other question? It's not a VPN. Your traffic is not encrypted point-to-point. It's a DNS-based spoofing system that makes the host site "think" you're in a different part of the world, limited to that part of the negotiation protocol when the site is checking your geo. After that, it's business-as-usual. Consequently, it does not affect latency / throughput at all.
For more on this, google "how does unblock-us work?" - Teleport is similar, supports fewer sites and countries, but is free, while unblock-us is around US$ 5 / 6 pm. Also, Teleport doesn't require you to change your DNS to unblock-us - you use the native MyRepublic DNS. This means MR can route you to local caches and ISP-specific best-routes, which unblock-us has no idea of.

Thx. How about the other question?
currently on singtel fiber 500mbps 2 yr contract started on november 2013, how can i switch over to this? please advise, interested in the business plan with lots of ip for home use
Currently I do not have any broadband plan and need one latest by 1st March.
Checked with the staff at Causeway point outlet and he told me the queue is already till May.
Does this mean either I have to either survive 2 months without Internet or choice another provider?
it's a new home. so no contract, no Internet, nothing.
need to buy everything from stratch
yesIs the Termination Point (TP) installed in your new house?
when will it be available for new customers?$39 for 300Mbps is for recontracting/upgrading customers at the moment.
Bolts
the 300mbps is eligible for new sign up too.but it more worth it to go for 1gbps.
yes
it's a resell property and the ex-landlord is currently using fiber, so I didn't see any issue here.
too bad then... 2 months without Internet, can't imagine that. Then have to depend whether you are able to wait till May.

btw, thanks dude for the reply~
Hi, MR,
I have 2 questions:
1. What exactly is the technology behind Teleport? Is it just a US VPN service at the backend? In this case, will it affect the latency and throughput when accessing SG or other Asian sites?
2. Home voice: do you support BYOD? I have VoIP phone and asterisk at home and I hope I can use your service directly by configuring asterisk (such as your service name, port, credential, etc.). Possible? I really hate the route to connect your ONT via RJ11 and then convert to digital again.
Thanks a lot.
hi MR
My other ISP broadband contract ends in Apr.
Can I sign up the 49.99 plan now. Only upon activated post Apr then pay?
