And let me assure you: Every MyRepublic customer will have an opportunity to upgrade their plan to 1Gbps. Yes, even those of you who are still mid-way through your MyRepublic contract.

At least this is something good to hear, still doesn't change the fact that the recontract page isn't working for most of us though :)

Big News!

Everyone, I am elated to tell you that MyRepublic will be launching the world’s fastest fibre broadband at a never-before price point: 1Gbps at $49.99/mth.

That’s right! 1000Mbps for a subscription under $50.

Over 2 years ago, we launched MyRepublic to challenge long-held attitudes among incumbent telcos. Thanks to your great support, today we’re leading the way with a first for Singapore and a first big step towards transforming not just our telecom industry but the country into a Gigabit Nation.

As of today, Singapore has joined the ranks of the world’s best in terms of accessible ultra-fast internet connectivity. Things will not be the same again for consumers and businesses.

And let me assure you: Every MyRepublic customer will have an opportunity to upgrade their plan to 1Gbps. Yes, even those of you who are still mid-way through your MyRepublic contract.

As exciting as this news is for some of you, upgrading is not compulsory. You may continue your current plan if you so choose. For those who are interested to upgrade, we are working to get you to 1Gbps as soon as we can and are expecting to roll outs to begin March 2014.

That said, with many thousands of customers to upgrade, it is a complex logistical project to coordinate with OpenNet and we appreciate your patience during these few months. Gigabit internet is well worth the wait!

To find out exactly how you can upgrade (it’s a bit complicated as it depends on what exact promotion or plan you are on now), I welcome you to head on over to our website’s brand new Order section and login to your account to explore your available options.

All of this would not have possible without your support and I hope you all continue to join us as we continue onto even bigger, better and more awesome things.

Sincerely,
Malcolm Rodrigues
MyRepublic CEO

You can run both... It's impossible to move everyone at the same time..hence, we need to slowly transfer customer.

At least this is something good to hear, still doesn't change the fact that the recontract page isn't working for most of us though :)

They are fixing it now.

Yes. No more NC box. They will use a new ONT

We don't like stuff that runs on nuclear. Later radiation... =x.

I spoke to one of the CSO, they will be migrating existing customers to the new plans it seems. But it will "take a few months". Hopefully we can get more info on this soon.

Yes, transition period takes time.

I have a feeling that MR is shooting themselves in the head for such big headed offer. Be prepared to get CMI speeds and complaints soon.
