Unless, of course, you don't understand how speed tests work and that they're VERY dependent on the host server's bandwidth, I/O, CPU, and route to the host, which may change from time to time. It's trivial to find a US-based Speedtest server that can deliver < 1 mbps of "speed", regardless of which SG ISP one uses.

On the other hand, you may be a networking genius who consults for Ookla. What do I know. :)

The rest of the folks reading this, however, should understand that these tests are largely meaningless and easily "optimised" by the ISPs.

- V.

Why is everybody using the same test then? OKOK tomorrow I email them and say wad the toot you buay chun one ok happy? Fast or slow stream one video can tell I dun need speedtest to tell me it's CUI

Some of you seemed to have submitted documents. Is this for new subscribers?
I'm an existing MR user and when I did the upgrade option, I didn't need to send in any documents.
Hope I didn't miss anything.

it's not about otc or not.. if the contract end b4 installation. Will i be without connection? cos my contracts end feb 18 and the installation only available from 1st march.

i hope MR can work something out for me.

I do not think they will cut your connection.

I was told (via PM) to recontract in May as my contract ends in July. So that the new contract can start right after my current contract ends.

However, I am unsure how I will be billed if the installation is some time after my contract ends (say due to overwhelming response).

Perhaps MR can further elaborate.

I signed up. It stated second quarter 2014.

My plan ending on July. i need to pay for the OTC too? If its 1-2 mths. i suppose MR shld waive off the OTC.

Even mobile phone plan. you can upgrade 2mths before the contract officially end. And they will waive off the OTC.

Dear MR reps,

My current contract will expire in Aug 14, but when I tried signing up for an upgrade yesterday morning, I was told that my installation will be Q1 2015, which is half a year after my contract expires.

This doesn't make sense as a lot of bros here have contracts ending much later and have earlier upgrade dates. Can you help run a check to see if my allocated date is correct? If not, when will my installation date be? Quite disappointed in this. Thanks.
