why am i featured inside , i believe MR is quite overwhelmed , thats why even people like me that rush to sign up on the first day and the beta still got no email or calls

Hi Raceworld, I am sorry about that. But I thought it would be helpful to show that early adopters are led to believe that MyRepublic will contact us in February.

Are you referring to the TP or ONT installation?

OTP = Optical Fibre Termination Point = TP

Yes, TP has not installed but building is fibre ready.

Triple confirm with OpenNet that they will only come and install when I sign up service with RSP. Still free for first 15m.

If I never sign up anything, they won't come and install any TP unless I pay for it.

I just called their hotline. They said they will call me on Mid-March, and installation will only begin in April. So much for 3rd Week of February, and installation on March. Mind you, I signed on the first day itself.

In my case I am prepared to wait. MyRepublic turning anesmia, and denying the whole thing is very unprofessional on their part. Glad that people are speaking out and call a spade a spade.

The delay now is with Opennet... But if i already had the TP installed, does it means that no need Opennet to come to do anything? Just need MR to install the ONT and router? Or do i still need to wait until May/June for installation if i sign up now?

Yes and provided OpenNet did all their back end testing.

For the ONT and router installation schedule, I think it would be best for MR staff to advise.

You are right, the VP understanding looks incorrect; in his reply to Eugene, he blames his sales staff for misunderstanding when the information is already clearly stated on their website in Jan. Citing flyers and website screenshot that have been updated also don't look right.

When is ur installation and which area are you in?

The alpha test we have conducted has been performing perfectly. A normal 'beta' period would stretch over a few months or even years. However, the reason why we are keeping it to 1 week is because it's robust enough to be launched. A network 'bug' isn't in anyway similar to those found in normal system testing. Thus, a totally different situation.

Trust us, and give us a few weeks. The first batch of customer will be able to show us their awesome speed test result (with the right equipment of course).

Alpha test? - my question is by how many and for how long.

It is only now that you are doing beta test with 200 users and mind you, its a 1G line and you only require 1 week to iron out issues on a newly setup network? - well done!

Looking at how MR is handling and things progressing since announcement of the 1G plan till now, my take is that it takes at least a good 6 to 9 months before the network is stable, then again when its stable, they would have hit into capacity issues. Would be lucky to connect to MR at almost the subscribed speed, what about peering and bandwidth out?
