You think MR will let you cancel the contract without penalty? Quak has requested for cancellation of contract but could not get it. Best to take legal action.

I thought as long as an appt is not set there will be no penalty? Can nivlek clarify this again?

That is too tiring...i rather make better used of my time in my job. My daily pay is already more than twice of my monthly subscription. I will leave the chasing to the group of people in my company who call themselves lawyers and they will charge much more for every letter and reminder they send.

Let see whether they can win me a free lifetime or at least 20 years coverage of internet service for all my inconvenience and all my physical, emotional and mental stress.

That is a win win situation.

MR have 1 more day to either fixed the issue or come back to me with foc cancellation of my contract and my last month payment refund.

May be you can terminate your GIRO payment or just withdraw all your $ from the account and close down your bank account. Then re-open another account. At least you stop payment to them. Then send a letter to them by Local Urgent Mail to their head office to request them to void the contract.

Your case should be a bit more complicated.. well, I suppose after signing on the dotted line regardless of whether service is activated yet you should be in a bit of a rut...

Singtel owns opennet.

And opennet delay appointment.

SO singtel who somehow not affected by open net can install faster???WTH

OpenNet customers switching to SingTel

Home user is within 7 days. Support even work on weekend and public holiday. Upon calling in, support will come within the same day or latest the next day. Someone mentioned in HWZ that he called and support came to change router for him in 4 hours time. Surprise to read his post.

Sign up with singtel for long pain.

Sign with MR for short pain.

If you dont get me then too bad:s22:

Pay peanut you get peanut. Sign ST for long pain? Sign ST you enjoy the prompt installation and better customer service compared to MR. Stable network and that's the reason why business user go to ST. Try calling MR to make an enquiry as someone who is interested in signing up the service or pretend to have some technical question to ask them, see how fast they get back to u. My wife called them and no boby pick up.

Hi guys,

I got my 1GBps. Was very happy as speedtest all 950Mbps mark. However, I notice the following in a very consistent manner.

When using Chrome the ping will always be 3ms or 5ms, very fast.
But when using Firefox or Safari, the ping will always be < 30ms

I realise the HWZ forum, ppl response, but MyRepulic outlet, nobody response.

Btw, I have no problem in connection and speedtest, but I suspect foul play in some part.

I typically work from home and using Apple Remote Desktop to remote into my server. When I use the 1GBps connection, the remote screen is very laggy and slow til the point of unusable.

But when I use ExpressVPN to login from another country like Hong Kong, guess what, my Remote Desktop is fast and smooth. This is being consistently observed every day. My office is using Singtel business broadband. So I am thinking, is Singtel trying to throttle MyRepulic connection til it is unusable?

I have no proof of course, but why is it when I login from Hong Kong using VPN, everything is smooth while using the bare MR's connection it is slow like hell..

Anyone experience such thing?

Just want to give an update. I realise these pass 2 days, remote in to my office which is Singtel connected has been back to lag-free situation. And it feel better even than last time. So I think there must be some adjustment made by MR or Singtel, anyway tks. Lag-free now!

1. During the whole of last month, while you are "out for events", nobody contacted me at all. So who is Rachael? This is despite numerous emails to you which you could have replied me instead of keeping radio silence. Your promise to waive my fee, was not fulfilled. My GIRO was deducted for both April and May. You call this follow up? Does your team needs to take 1 month to follow up?

2. you said in your email to me that your engineers are issued brand new mac book pro, but on both occasions, your engineers did not bring down any tester laptop which is good enough to prove to me that the speed problem is due to my laptop. If you cannot prove to me that other laptops can hit the acceptable range of speed, what you are explaining here serves no purpose to the customer, really. Unless your purpose is to cover up the truth, if not, just prove to me that my Fibre BB can hit the acceptable speed range. I have said this many times to you in the email, which obviously you failed to do so after wasting 2 of my saturday afternoons. Where is the new mac book pro you mentioned?

3. If you have really understood from your field engineer, which I am pretty sure you did not. Your field engineer Albert told me the issue is likely with back end. I have borrowed other laptops which are relatively new and with relatively good specs to test the speed, but the speed is still the same. To summarise, 2 laptops from your field engineers, plus another 3 new laptops from my friends - but speed is still below 500Mbps. The field engineer also mentioned, the speed should not fluctuate to 60Mbps, as I told him that at times the speed did fluctuate to 60Mbps.

I understand from others that there is another more responsible MR guy sharing the Nivlek1985 account, so I do not wish to say anything bad about Nivlek1985. So, Solomon Teo, I am not expecting your so called "team" to follow up, because you have already showed me how irresponsible you have been, for the past month, the only person who have been trying to follow up, was myself.

Enough of the bad service and excuses, no point trying to argue further with you, I am just a customer who is trying to get what I am paying for. If any other MR staff is kind enough assist me, please allow an FOC cancellation of the contract, which I will gladly accept and look for other ISP, you can keep that 1 month of fee waiver which you promised but was not delivered, I would rather switch ISP.

Any update?

I think you should personally give them a call to check on the application status. I did that and managed to get an installation date from them.

PPTV streaming is really crapping out lately.. Pls fix ASAP

China streaming sites always have been problematic . Unless you have a VPN to test ,its not possible to know whether its MR routing or site traffic thats the cause.
