If your connection is already up and running fine. Then good luck to you. Maybe you can say that you have some financial problem or say you are migrating to another country.

I quote this for you in-case you don't know :

"Once an appointment is confirmed with us, cancelling your MyRepublic order will result in OpenNet cancellation fees which can be significant – up to $297 (for HDB/Condo) or $504 (for Landed property) – and which we are required to fully pass on.

Should you wish to cancel your MyRepublic service application at any stage, a $48.15 administrative fee also applies.

In the event that your service is successfully installed and you wish to terminate, the full early contract termination charges would apply."

I submitted my order by late May.

Yesterday chat with them online and told them I want to cancel... after a while they said they can arrange to install on 1-2 July...

But since I was already out of love with them, still cancel anyway.

my friend ordered since last 2 IT Show, until now not even installed. reschedule dunno how many times, even can give schedule 1 month backward. promised to come but not only once but twice 1 sided cancelled without even inform him. my friend has to call them to check if they will come as promised. he really damn unlucky with MR.

5 months of waiting and i still have not got a proper appointment from them for installation. Just 2 weeks ago they said they will get back to me fast. Too much waiting time incur...

I will want to terminate as well if so.

If they already told you the appointment date and you agreed with it, then I think its too late already. But you can try to call them up and check if you still can cancel.

Since they haven't get back to you on any appointment date, you still can cancel without any penalty charges. So if you really want to cancel, I'll advice you to call them up asap and do so. Don't wait until they give you an appointment date.

I think they were stuck with something in the past, and it's resolved now so some of us are receiving appointment schedule for early July.

@Beefsteak you on the 1gbps? If so how is it? better worse?

I can only say that International speed isn't that good. My only complain is can't watch Twitch.tv smoothly.
But ITV and BBC streams are smooth though.

Hi Beefsteak,

Of course international speed won't reach 1Gbps, but it's strange because I'm currently on their 100M and can watch Twitch tv everyday smoothly, with high quality (source quality may lag during peak time). I also usually open 2-3 streams at once so that I can switch tabs to watch the score of DOTA 2 games.

Can you do me a favour, try speedtest to a Vietnam server, either Ho Chi Minh or Hanoi will do, and a US server (any of them)?

I now scared I can't even terminate my services on time now .

I tried chating with the CSO on early mon ,he say he would email me later ??? until now haven't recieve sxxx (why dun not call me duh?give u my accno. & hp details for fxxx?) ,ask him abt termination procedures and cost ,the bugger totally ignores me.

Seriously one of the worst CSO I ever seen in my life even with my low expectations of customer service.
Customer service in MR must really be lowly paid like 5/hr or they playing with their smartphone while doing customer service or something.

mine called after 3 days.

but the CS officer is very impatient on explaining the procedures to me.

she keep 'tsk tsk' when i ask her to repeat what i need to return them.

from what i see this is the downfall of MR.

and tomorrow is my last day with MR, bye bye

Just got online with a MR support guy. Here is what he said :
"Twitch.tv has bad connection to SEA and that is the reason why you are experiencing lag and buffering"

As for the speedtest. I will do it tonight when I get back home from work.

I do not quite get your point.

Are you saying that you are currently on both SingTel and MR Fibre?

Nope, my ONT currently have SingTel and M1 fiber installed. Now i wanted to change my SingTel to MR. Awaiting MyRepublic to give me a called back

Im terribly sorry regarding about that CUSTOMER, but your reschedule date was indeed submitted to OpenNet but it failed

They have to fix your TP before we can start with the installation

The thing is they still got the cheek to tell me this after I get to them from Live Chat. If it fail, doesn't it means that you should all the more identify what happen and what can be done about it?

I applied since March, got the appointment dates twice, postponed twice, still in midst of waiting for the next appointment (7 days after last postponement)

I have the very feeling that they want US TO CANCEL/Not Apply for their service ourselves, so they don't need to serve us.

I'm also writing to CASE and IDA for the inconvenience created. Maybe to the press since my cousin is working there.

Since your delay is caused by OpenNet, My advice to you is to speak to OpenNet directly or email them. Because even if you switch to another provider also have to go through OpenNet.
