It seems like the difference started when it routes to 61.42.234.21 that mine will take around 245ms as compared to your 165ms.

Thank you appreciate it, but ouch gamer at 165ms ? Is that the usual ping or is it just today when everyone else is lagging as well ?

On Pure STATIC, I highly doubt GAMER plan would be any different but would appreciate if anyone with that plan could post their ping/tracert results as well.

I honestly dislike NTT being the upstream provider but oh well.. it used to be better.

Ping and Tracert to what address. PM if inconvenient.

I am on Gamer + Static

I managed to get hold of trusty MR Mark ! He's looking into the ping issue, he managed to drop it down to 200-/+. Right now he's still trying to do what he can. Hopefully something positive comes out from it.

Yea Mark told me after the stuff he did, gamer plan should be below 100ms now, lucky you.

Tracing route to 211.234.120.150 is around 170ms.

On PURE 100 Mbps.

Yea anyone on Pure STATIC will still be on 180-200ms. Nothing much he can do, he was able to change the initial forward routing but for the return path there's nothing Mark can do, so we have to wait for LG to email him back since apparently their return path is messed up for some IPs and there's nothing he can do about it.

its not just MR, all the telcos here have problems with china sites

I hate singtel but my 4G hotspot got no problem. Much much fsster than my gamer plan

Had no issues accessing china websites when i was previously on singtel 10mbps plan

On MR everyday certain hours have access, certain time slow, certain time totally no access.
But when use my singtel & starhub mobile stilll can can access.

I'm very confused with myRepublic promotion plans. I'm one of the pioneer signed up batch with MyRepublic when they first launched. My 1 year contract with MyRepublic expires mid last year. As with many, I just keep paying monthly without consistent effort to check out current and new service providers offers. I noticed they have many promotions on going to attract new customers but the pioneer batch of customers are paying a premiere. :(

They last offer a recontract of 2 years for $39.90 on Pure plan. I see from their website they don't have any Pure Plan now. So, is existing customers(not on contract),automatically switch to this 1Gbps plan? If so, I can save $10 each month with faster speed!

Anyone advise? Thanks

Recontract to the 300Mbps plan if you can wait. Otherwise, simply change to other providers. Since recontracting means you will need to do installation again.

You will not be automatically switched to 1Gbps plan as mentioned by wc1985. You have to re-contract for the 1Gbps plan but the installation will probably in Q3 2014 onwards.

it will not be automatically upgraded
