Hi all, Singtel has about 100 engineers working round the clock fixing the fiber connection damaged in Bukit Panjang exchange. The long duration of repair is due to the unexpected amount of cables being damaged. In addition, they are unable to provide any estimation or details on the status of the repair or progress. We are hopping Singtel/opeNet to be capable in releasing updates as soon as possible.

Tried connecting to 5GHZ using iPhone. Test results for the upload is much better than 2.4GHZ but the download is worst.

What gives? If speed is better at upload, why download isn't any better?

Using the Asus RT-56N router

Hi all! OpenNet and SingTel are still working on restoring network services, having missed the projected time of recovery at 6am and extending the projected time of recovery to 7am on 11/10/13. We are awaiting Singtel/OpenNet for further clarification on this issue. OpenNet has announced that 27% of affected fibre connections have been restored,

Furthermore, we have received reports that a few customers who were not affected by the fire originally have lost their connection due to fibre cable repairs conducted by OpenNet. We'll keep all customers updated as to the progress of repairs and restoration for all affected customers.

Lastly, while the fire happened in a SingTel exchange affecting all ISPs, we understand that a loss of internet connection is a huge inconvenience in this day and age. To that end, we're glad to announce that we will be looking into offering compensation to our affected customers as a form of goodwill. Please be patient as the damage gets repaired by OpenNet and SingTel and we'll release more details on this when all damage has been repaired.

As always, sorry for the inconvenience caused and thanks everyone for their patience!

hi ok

Can i ask for help for this?

I tried reseting them all but no luck.
And calling with my handphone will burn my wallet.
Imgine waiting 30 mins just to connect to someone

Are you staying in the affected area? Or outside of it? If you are in, homevoice and fiber are currently down till Singtel fix it.

It went down again as Singtel is still doing repair.
Singtel in the press conference say they are doing their best to restore the services. Initial target is to restore business connectivity by 7pm tonight and for the residential by 7am tomorrow.

* I hope they will be on time...

Not blaming MR. I know singtel always cock up one.The fact that even fire can break in a modern internet datacentre is a sign of general incompetence .

I tested on dynamic IP and my download went up to 6+MB/s. Download on static IP is less than 3MB/s.

Seems like something is wrong for static IP.

My account is : C1001724

Please help. Thank you.
