actually is not Im want to say anything about it.. is just that even the MR thread at pc show 2014 sub forum which is happening now at expo.. is moving slower and slower.. 5 pages.. in the past, when such show were up.. don know how many pages liao within 1 day. even M1 thread is moving at much faster pace .. it does say a lot of a companies .. like i mentioned.. customer-service is not good for business. what is good for business is sales/profit.. cos they will need to take care of the shareholders within the company.

I'll also be looking to terminate once my contract ends this September. My current plan actually very smooth not much downtime. But it looks like the new 1gbps is the problem and I have no choice but to jump ship.
Rather pay a little premium for stability rather than a little lesser to be frustrated.

just spoke to the MR CS officer on its website, i don't know if they quote everyone with 1 month, but apparently those who's contract is ending and upgrading will have their network upgraded first. interesting.

MR service is sucks

Yes MR is really sucks I was offer the new service ( I am MR existing customer) in January when they offer the 1gps and I sign up for it and got a reply thru email, my contract expire in 23 May 2014 and I call them on the 27 of May 2014 spoke to one of their CSO highlighting why till date no one call me and she say that MR did not receive my application and I told her if she needs me to email her back the confirmation I receive from MR she say don't need cause MR did not receive.

I told her can she check she say will pass to the other department and I ask her will the other department call me and her answer is "Don't know" and I tell her off saying what type of service is this after a while she tell me in a way like if you not happy than terminate la (something like that as I was too angry to listen to her).

So I told her to put the request over and I was hoping to get a call from someone from MR but instead I receive this sms from MR:

"Dear customer, we regret to inform you that we are unable to process your appointment for 1Gbps installation due to insufficient resources. We will contact you once it is resolved. Thank you for your kind understanding and please accept our sincere apologies. Thank you."

Look at the massage it seems like MR is telling me to slowly wait if you cant wait than please go elsewhere. If MR does not have sufficient resources than why are they promoting here shouldn't MR solve all the issue first before they start to get more people signing up.

For sure MR has lost one of their customer, my advice to all that is toying with the idea to engage MR service please do your research before you jump ship.

Btw need advice here. What should I do when my contract is ending? Like how any months before it ends should I call them to terminate? Don't want them to start charging my credit card blindly! Really regret signing up.

They told me problem lies with opennet's infrastructure.. they will liaise with them and get back to me until now no call or follow up or whatsoever. About 24hours without network connection already.. Way to go! :D

It's always OpenNet and never themselves.

I know it seems like a lot of bad comments here, but just thought I'll offer my own good experience with MR today:

Living in Jurong West, experienced disconnection yesterday 4-5pm. ONT Link LED kept blinking green light. Called MR support last night, was told that they'll arrange someone today.

This afternoon someone called again, to confirm someone at home (I was working) and told me mine was not the only case. I was scheduled to have the new 1Gbps installation next Monday, but it might have been enabled earlier.

The tech came down, fixed the service, my family told me everything working fine, and that's it. From the phone the tech seemed friendly enough and took the time to explain certain things to me.

Feels like i'm the only happy MR user here,

Been with them nearly 2 years now, contract ending in Sept.
Constant speeds of 70-80mbps for my 100mbps plan over my 5ghz network.
Speedtest.net by Ookla - My Results

Direct connection constant at least 90mbps.

Only had trouble with their billing department at beginning of contract like 12 months back.

So far so good, idk why is everyone having issues with MR.

Occasionally i do get some slow times like 2-3am, but as compared to EVERY SINGLE ONE OF MY OTHER FRIENDS ON THE other 3 telcos, i'm getting much better/consistent service.

I sumpa. lol

I from Jurong west also! Scheduled for 1gbps next Monday too! Asked them if all these disconnections were related to the upgrade they tell me they don't know :( hope I don't need to spend the weekend without any connection
