Is watching twitch all you do with the internet?

If u got my point... u r saying that the fastest fiber broadband can't watch twitch and that's exactly wad i mean and why it's frustrating.

And for your "no link" question to what i said.. i will still answer you. 2 years back i used to watch twitch regularly, but not anymore cos i can't anymore. And i rarely watch twitch now..(Answers your question)

Being at home after many busy days, wanted to watch twitch (I rarely do) relax and guess wad? Still same problem.

I'm totally surprised that the issue is still not fixed either by twitch, by MR or any other related party.

550mbps download from what source? if you're saying Telin or ST Speedtest servers... those are not very good to test with.. try VQ server or MR's own site. the others... don't really support the speed, etc.. :o

anyway it is pointless to monitor speedtest.net results every other day. it's not real world performance like what many mentioned.

MYREPUBLIC! What's the use of setting up a messaging system when you don't even reply to the messages in your home page!!! It is just for show?? I ask a question regarding the free Norton Internet Security Code over there 2 times and no one bother to reply!! Is MYREPUBLIC GOING DOWNHILL in terms of customer service?????!!!!!! Damn piss! If there is no more free Norton Internet Security, just simple reply and i can go get my renewal myself!!

Anyway, Teleport service is always having intermittent issues for me. anybody facing the same problem? my guess is that they only have a certain number of connections available and there are more teleport subscribers than they can handle.

just checked my bills
for those of us who upgraded to 1Gbps (as an existing subscriber), are we supposed to be charged for the $58 installation fee too?

Not for re-contract customers but not sure about upgrade.

Is it advisable to change to the ac68u router? I'm currently using ac66u

FYI. RT-AC66U or RT-AC68U ?

Can the ac66u handle the 1gbps bandwidth?

If you mean close to 1Gbps for WiFi, then both AC66U and AC68U cannot handle.

I dont get why all point fingers at MR and say its their fault. If they can fix it, they would have done so long ago. Yes they might have bad customer service and such, but have they ignored a problem that they can fix? They actually care about their reputation, not like the Big 3. Besides, from what I see here it's definitely not affecting all of MR customers.

I am sorry, but you will have to just suck it up. Do something else with the internet.

Contract ending in Sept. took the plunge to recontact for 300mpbs since i only play game and watch shows via mediabox....need all the luck to avoid those horror stories mention earlier.

edited GPGT: i dint know MR has the option for existing user to retain the 100/150 plan and using back the ONT from NC...

i'm using netflix. and i realized that during peak period, i kept getting Sorry, netflix hasn't come to this part of the world yet message. irritating when we are paying for the service and half the time it's down. seriously, MR is really terrible.

the only thing they are able to tell me is that the service is up, and everything should be accessible. you do know that their customer service representatives are pretty useless, right? their technical know-hows are notoriously bad for an ISP.

yeah i guess, by looking at all the response here.. :o
they need to open a seperate technical support apart from just one that accesses the surface of the info :(

btw what device are you trying to use netflix on? i just did a random search for unotelly + the same message you get. it happens on theirs as well. their solution is to do a forced dns flush.

I had simillar issue with Netflix on my Roku3, resolved it through a work around. Roku with recent software update start using Google DNS as secondary name server (which cannot be changed), all you need is to block port 53 for 8.8.8.8 ( both TCP and UDP) on your router firewall for your entire network or if you have assigned a static IP to Roku in your network blocking it for that IP will do.
