Hi guys,

Can someone please advise me..

What router and wireless adapter should i get for my 1GBPS connection. I recently upgrade to the 1GBPS connection but maintained on my N56U and my TP-Link Wireless Adapter (TP-LINK TL-WN8200ND).

Unfortunately im only getting roughly these speeds(5-bar wireless connection) for my speed test which seems far from what i should be getting.

Last Result:
Download Speed: 14038 kbps (1754.8 KB/sec transfer rate)
Upload Speed: 35883 kbps (4485.4 KB/sec transfer rate)
Latency: 4 ms
Jitter: 2 ms

Wired is not an option as I have 2 walls to drill thru.

It will be easier to troubleshoot by testing with direct connection from ONT first to determine the root cause whether is the source (speed received on your end), router or wireless adapter.

When it comes to hardware, no 2 pieces of similar devices are the same. Their QC also do random check only. U ever heard some iphone got problems while the others don't?

Been getting 500-800Mbps since installation, then today just randomly hit 900Mbps for the first time since I got 1Gbps a month ago. Didn't change my setup at all/no reboot/reflash :s22:

Download Speed: 906128 kbps (113266 KB/sec transfer rate)
Upload Speed: 473284 kbps (59160.5 KB/sec transfer rate)
Latency: 1 ms
Jitter: 1 ms

Still unable to hit 900Mbps on speedtest.net like the others have shown... I know it's not accurate compared to MR speedtest but up until now I don't understand why other users should be able to hit such speeds on speedtest.net whereas I cannot. Anyone who can explain the discrepency please feel free to enlighten me :)

Can you hit 900mbps using a direct connection to the ONT??

Speed wise depends on the end device you are using also I guess.
