My contract finish liao, wanted to recontract to the 200Mbps plan.

Called and waited around 30minutes before the cso picked up.

Then was told that the 200Mbps plan is strictly only for new subscriber. Or i can terminate my current plan and subscribe again.

The 300Mbps recontract plan not attractive at all :/

Knn, new subscriber get more perks than recontracting.

This is a question for the people who play Clash of Clans - are you able to connect to your game at home?

In the last 2-3 months I'd had maybe 25% luck in getting in game on wifi at home. The loading bar on the splash screen when you open the app doesn't move, and I close the app and try again until it will load.

In the last 2-3 days, that number is now 0% - can't get in game at all no matter how many times I try.

i can surf the net (although I can't open Google with just google.com, I have to use google.com/ncr or it will not load), and I can play any other games. Just not CoC.

I can connect to CoC on my office wifi, on Wireless@SG, on Starbucks' Y5Zone ... but not at home :(

Anyone else having the same problem? Is there a fix for it?

P.S. if it matters, I'm using an ASUS RT-N66U - paid for the upgrade when I signed up.

go bang their table, is their backend problem

don't delay, drop them email, facebook messages with your customer id

u can try to call, if u can hold the line for more than 30mins or more

I also installed CoC and no issue of loading into the game.

I agreed that MR customer service is quite bad but I believe it will be more constructive to help to troubleshoot rather than jump to conclusion.

KNN actually MR should fugging e-mail their customer base about this breach in security so users know not to click on the link in the e-mail, instead of just posting about it on their FB

I'll admit to being a noob with this - would switching off the RT-N66U and on or resetting it possibly help in any way? And if so, should I also switch off the ONT?

You can give it a try to see if it works.

Are you on Static IP?

All your personal details held by MR are likely to be leaked by MR & used by hackers to establish botnets.

MR shoddy management has once again showed its true colours. MR weakest link have always been its people - high turnover rate, high usage rate of part-timers, sordid lack of established operational procedures.

Disappointed with MyRepublic service... - Page 7 - www.hardwarezone.com.sg

This is one of the reasons why their rates are the lowest in the market.. in a product/service you can only pick 2 out of 3 cheap|good|fast - so if you want cheap and fast, it won't be as good compared to other service providers. Knowing this as a consumer going into a deal with them, I'd recommend everyone take the following precautions:

- choose to pay by bank transfer or GIRO, don't give them your credit/debit card details

- your MR login password should be unique and not used in other services, such as the e-mail you use to communicate with them. Most people are too lazy to remember multiple passwords for various websites (FB/Gmail/Yahoo/Twitter/MR login/online banking/Ebay/SingPass) and end up using one PW for all, so if your MR login is compromised you can bet the hacker will be smart enough to search your e-mail for these other services and attempt to login to them

Just gotten this in the email. Teleport is free for everyone now!

Starting this holiday, everybody gets Teleport!

At MyRepublic, we like to see ourselves as an Internet company. The products we sell and the services we provide should all tie into our vision of how the Internet should be.

For starters, we believe in net neutrality: the idea that the Internet should be open and free. No service should be stuck in a "slow lane" because it does not pay a fee.

The Internet should also be a ready source of great content, be it news or entertainment or hilarious memes. We want to make all of it accessible to you, with ultra-fast fibre broadband being just the beginning.

From Add-On to Always On

Beyond broadband, we had Teleport as an optional intelligent routing add-on service, designed to provide seamless access and optimise streaming quality to a number of international websites.

Starting this month, we're happy to announce that Teleport is no longer a chargeable add-on.

We believe that Teleport is how our Internet should be -- and Teleport is now a feature included with all MyRepublic broadband plans.

So what does this mean?

Everyone gets Teleport automatically!
You won't be charged for it and you won't need to do anything to get Teleport activated. Simply visit one of the websites Teleport optimises streaming to (e.g. Netflix, Hulu, etc) and it should work.

Regardless of the service provider, holding back payment is not wise. It may affect you when you apply for other services with other companies/service provider in future. Your payment history can be traced. Best is to pursue the matter with your existing provider and break clean if you need to. Just my two cents

I did email them. Got back answer is " We have sent to u 3emails". If im dumb not to check my emails MR, i wouldn't know how to send u 1 int the first place. Way they send me the email is as if im stupid.

I have been on Myrepublic for the past 2 years. Generally happy. However i agreed to upgrade to the 300Mbps recontract but are totally lost on what is needed to be done. The MR folks set up a time for the OPENNET guys to come and check the installation. Which OPENNET totally screwed up the timing. And after checking they went off without telling me what's next and neither did MR. The speed certainly has not improved and i am wondering what's next
