300 is a better signing then 1000 imo.. no need to worry about limitations.
and u wont even use 1000.. so why not save $10 per month. $39.99 for 300

I finally got my connection installed over the weekend (was supposed to be March but there were delays) Anyway all good now, here's the latest speedtest:

YQ3hxiM.png

Now I've never seen speed like this before and I'm pleased but like most of us here I'm a tech geek and can't help think of squeezing at least another 100mbps out as I've seen 900+mbps speedtests from others.

This was taken from my PC connected via Cat5e to an Asus AC66U router.

Any idea how to squeeze that last bit of 100mbps out? Could it be a hardware limitation on the Realtek PCIe GBE controller (built-in on my motherboard)?

Most likely its due to your realtek NIC limiting the max speed. Try update / downgrade the driver of the NIC and check, it might be possible to squeeze maybe another 10-30mbps if your not already using the best version. Personal experience is most realtek nic on motherbord are not good performers, typically i see a max of 800+mbps max and some only about to give about 600mbps.

I see, thanks for the insight misato! Will give the new drivers a try.

Hi guys. If I recontract my pure 100 plan to pure 300 plan now, how long would they take to install my service? I ask this because my contract expires in a month and I heard that the wait is pretty long.

Recontract still need to install service?install what service??

If I recontract I still need pay one time charges?

Recontract
Contract ends earlier than date of installation = NO one-time charge

Upgrade
Contract ends later than date of installation = one-time charge of $58

There will be a change of ONT from NC to Alcatel-Lucent during the installation.

If I read correctly, he meant installation date not the recontract date. The installation date (assume 1st July or after) must be later than your expiry date (31th June) then no OTC.

How come MR pc show promo like no promo .I dun really see any diff leh .

Other ISPs ones also not very enticing for ppl looking for fibre BB only offers .
I dun need 100 off any freaking hp contracts .... I want a cheaper decent fibre BB experience .

If recontract online canceling/amending will cost extra money one?Assuming I haven't have installation dates yet.
I know I ask this qn alot of times cause I heard ppl sign up for 1Gbps no installation date cancel and got charged penalty .

how far back is the installation if i let say re-contract now since i'm out of contract and paying the $59 dollar per month now...

can start to bill me $39 for 300 mbps plan even if the installation is not done yet?

jameshong is correct. I mean the installation date NOT the date that you recontract.

the thing is installation of what?
u mean MR guys will still come my place n do something?

MR Field Engineer will go to your house to replace the NC ONT with an Alcatel-Lucent ONT plus ASUS router (if one opt for it).

MR 300Mbps plan is at $39.99/month.

The cheapest I think is M1 200Mbps at $39/month.
