I trusted MR. recontracted with MR during comex. Appointment was scheduled on 26 sep. But before that someone called saying my appointment was not captured in system due to system error. Never mind. They proposed 29 Sep. I called and requested to reschedule to 3 Oct instead. And guess what, my connection is down now cos they did the patching already! I was told I will not have access to internet till 3 Oct. Seriously are you kidding me? This is totally ****ing absurb. I flip through the hwz forum. Now on one answers customers queries. Read through Facebook posts. All complaints but no one answers. I will not tolerate this ****. Either you give me back my access NOW or just cancel everything already.

Seen similar cases like yours before, but I never saw anyone's connection being given back for the period until installation.

Besides it is better to just let it be, because assuming that you get your connection back, then there will be a chance that the line won't be terminated in time for the 1Gbps. I guess Openent will need probably at least 2 days to get u connected back, which means left 3 days before they would have to disconnect it again for the 1Gbps. Not worth the risk in my opinion, unless you are doing work at home and absolutely need internet access.

Just my 2 cents.

So its done by opennet? I assume I just need the Gbps ont to work? Can't believe the replacement of ont and patching can be done separately. Totally amazed by such coordination.

Yep Opennet is involved.

However the normal smooth installation would be that the existing line be terminated on the same day as the installation day.

Reading your post again I am going so far as to guess there is a chance that Opennet has already patched you to the 1Gbps line since your current connection is already terminated.

I suggest you give them a call to ask, if its true then try to ask them to push your installation up as early as possible. if u are tech savvy enough to set up your own router and that the connection is stable, all the tech needs is 15 mins tops. Just do the tech the favor to pack the old ONT (power adaptor, LAN cable) earlier to hand over to him.

I've contacted Twitch and they checked, it's definitely on MR's side.

Maybe we should email MR support about this, if enough voices are heard they might actually take us seriously. Will drop them an email today.

contract over.

call/email to terminate it... no response.
if i go down to their office to terminate, do i need to bring along the ONT?
Once terminated with MR, the current port auto release? Or we have to info Opennet?
anyone has the answer?

Anyone have any info on the typical ping for WOW with the custom routing in the gamer plan? Cant seem to load the live latency graph on their website.

Thanks for the reply. Hope it also helps others as to what to expect. I want to personally see to the installation so took leave on Fri also to enjoy long weekend. Didn't expect this to happen.

have just recently re contracted to 1gbps, past week 100mbps also not too stable for twitch, but apart from constant buffering for twitch on 1gbps which can be bypassed using hola, otherthings seem fine, speedtest shows 900+mbps torrent speed also faster now
