first, they complain MR forgot about them after they chose to sign up on the webpage; then they complain MR don't call them to make installation date; after installation they complain MR speed is below expectation, phone are always busy, email never reply, CSO never follow up....

You knew MR customer service standard has been like that since the launch of MR1Gbps, why you still want to re-sign with them? you already knew the customer service channel is next to non-existent, but you still sign up then kpkb here.

I too wanna have static IP but MR is never reachable, so how? forget it, I don't loose my connection without static IP; speed is low? I get second fibre to dual WAN.

I too is sick of MR custom service and fed up with MR bochap attitude, but there is no other way but to wait for the contract to expire and move on. what to do? I CHOSE to sign up MR.

Every provider out there will do certain traffic prioritization for specific traffic but I have never heard, and I don't believe that a provider will place priority for general web surfing below that of video streaming or downloading. This is because general web surfing is the most basic and min requirement of internet access.

Like I said you should contact them directly to resolve the problem, as it is likely to be some error somewhere. Posting here won't help you because they haven't been active here for months.

Yes. I believe so too. That's why my guess is that they have some issues to troubleshoot. Cos it seems like there are a few here who have experienced the same issues.

I've called MR to follow up this issue, they say need a week and more.

Accidentally spammed MR fb, then PM through fb today. So wait for response.

I was just heated and ranted here. Forums don't really solve such issues but pacify the boil I have, and a few others who needs this valve too.

But seriously the main way is the need to raise through HOTLINE and using tickets.

Btw, 100mbps was great. That's why I upgraded to 1gbps. I'm sure this is the same reason others upgraded too.

The praise I have is daytime use is super wonderful. My complains are only about after 10pm usage or the inability to use after 10pm.

By the way. A point to note. I believe hurdles will always come, and as a service provider I'm 100% sure that they will improve.

With every incident, it will be overcome and it will be better for everyone. It'll just take a little more time.

It's great to have a place to vent. Haha

I am not sure if the issue of inability to use after 10 pm only occurred at certain areas because I have never encountered before on my end.

Wow. Lucky you. It's seriously bad to experience it. I wouldn't wish it on anyone.

Imagine the torture of pressing F5 so many times before the website can load.

My friend who stays with me says it's worse than surfing 3G,cos you F5 a few times to get the first page, login or go to another url will be near impossible.

What's worse is only certain areas of my place has 4G,most of the time is on 3G.

MR customer service has gone to crap already la.

Go back traffic lights u get the same scripted crap from CS and I'm SURE they will throttle you somehow in the middle of your contract.

Take a look at VQ's thread. So many happy users and so
Responsive their staff there.

People say it's expensive? Would you mind paying less than $20 more than MR for NO WORRIES AT ALL?

Customers on VQ have been enjoying amazing SPEEDS AND CUSTOMER SERVICE for years

If one take account into 2 years contract, then it would not be just less than $20.

2 years contract (purely just on monthly subscription)
MR @ $49.99/mth = $1,196.76
VQ @ $65/mth = $1,560

Not to sound like I am trying to defend MR.. but I have been enjoying amazing speed on MR (i don't twitch and for most of my use, BT, youtube, fc2 etc.. was fast) as well since their initial launch to the current 1Gbps.

End of the day, which ISP to is use is up to you but I would suggest you don't go around bashing ISP with your own assumption. Don't assume for example Twitch is the only thing people use on the internet and condemn an ISP to no end. Tell people the reason for your unhappiness and not just a blanket calls to say its not good.

Aiyah you want to count like that :s8:

Go and get M1 200Mbps plan lor.

M1 @ $39/mth = $936.00

Not like you'll be using much of the extra 800Mbps from MR anyway.

As a former MR user that just switched to VQ, I must say that speeds for almost every area of the internet are vastly superior with VQ.

I am regularly hitting the connection limit for international connections where the server-side capacity allows.

Of course if you are happy with MR do stay with them.

I just compared between MR and VQ since bro jackycar already ruled out traffic lights.

I feel like switching also... Twitch.TV is unbearable, now I can't even stream without my viewers complaining it's stuttering.

u also just renew with the 1GB launch correct ? :(

Yah. Previously, like just a few months back I could stream to Twitch, no lag, no issues, watch also no problem. Ever since I switched to this 1GB thing, Twitch is broken for me. I can't even watch in the highest quality setting and have to resort to low 360p quality or it will stutter like mad.

Worst part is when I tether to my laptop with 4G, I can watch at least at 720p no lag. Reading the MR Twitch.TV thread making me wonder if MR is at all interested in fixing the lag. I haven't streamed for a few months because of this.
