Mark and Lawrence no longer with MR already.

Unless you deem that no longer supporting in this thread equals to no longer with MR, then yes.

If not, then Lawrence is currently Head of Business Development for MR. Not sure about Mark.

No offense, your results might be hardware/wired bottleneck cause 95 95 seems abit... idk, fishy.... Check if your ethernet port is fast ethernet or gigabit, and ensure cable is 5e above o.o.

Confirm is an MR issue, given that I was easily getting 900+ on my speedtest when I first got my 1Gbps using the exact same hardware and cable

Oh yes please check. Upon install 1gpbs,i tested from my router straight from the LAN output, and only got a flat 100mbps.

Tested direct from ONT, get 900+mbps,but through my router get 100mbps.

I thought my router crazy already. Then realised that I turned on Qos (quality of service) you can say that's a throttling function. Anyhow, I turned it off and immediately from my router output I am able to get 900+mbps.

Lucky I've been reading these comments. I signed up yesterday at Cost Tyre Telecom @ Great world city (myrepublic partner). Then after reading all these comments, today I decided to cancel it.

Unfortunately, I could not get hold of the company as their listed number on the Net is a fax number. The salesperson there, I think his name is Johnson, gave me his personal telephone number and that number is not in service. Therefore, I blocked my debit card from any payments from myrepublic or cost tyre. I dont wish to call the myrepublic number and wait donkey years to be attended to just to cancel my activation.

Thankfully, the salesperson was blur enough not to ask for any signature.

If u have not booked any appt with them, u can wait for them to call u and cancel thru there. But the billing will only start when the ONT is installed at ur hse.

If u have already made confirmed appt with them and wanna cancel, there will be cancellation charges.

For those of you who are thinking to sign up MyRepublic, please think twice . These are my encounter with them. I have terminated my service since 20 Sep 2014 and have not activated my new 1 Gbps service but I was still being charged for the month of Sep 14. How could they any how charged the customer even without providing any services to the customer? I have PM them , submitted an open ticket to them & posted on their facebook wall. After 3 days, I finally received a call from them. she admitted that there is a mistake from their side and will refund me within 2-7 working days. Just to make sure that I will get my refund, I asked for a black & white from their side, either email or sms. That was on 8 Oct 14, till today, no one from MyRepublic has emailled or SMS me, and I am still waiting for my refund. As for the upgrade, they have arranged Opennet to activate the 2nd port on 19 Sep 14, but on that day, I was informed that because got some problem at the back end, they are unable to activate the port for me, they will make another appointment again. Now, It has been more that 20 days, nobody from MyRepublic has called to arrange appointment for Opennet to come down to activate my 2nd port & update me on the situation for the upgrade. With so many unpleasant encounter with MyRepublic, I have decided to cancel my application to upgrade to 1 Gbps, because I have lost my confidence and patient with them, I do not wish to have anything to do with them anymore.
