Personally, I think MR really isnt the same too.

100mbps is great, been with them for 2 years too.

upgraded to 1000mbps, it just sux. I believe it's still in it's initial phase. MR is the only ISP providing 1000mbps at the moment. So i guess without knowing many upgraders and me are pigs for their testing.

if only MR marketed it as beta testing, i wouldn't really mind the problems cos then I know it's like a trial period. Too bad price is not really cheap to be doing testing for their 1000mbps.

Hmmm If you trust they will be better, then yeah go ahead. Only question is how long will it take for MR to improve in their quality of internet providing, and quality of customer support. (Seems like their operators at the moment are just humanoids)

FYI. MR is not the only ISP providing 1Gbps plan. All ISPs have 1Gbps plan except Starhub.

I'm at Woodlands. Where are you situated?

Got theory that the neighbourhood young generation uses up more bandwidth while in more matured neighbourhood more family based uses lesser bandwidth lol

actually it sounds quite logical muhahahaha

In Woodlands as well.. rather than how mature an estate, it is who is on the ISP sharing that circuit with you.. so its more of a draw of luck.

I give up already, if this is a campaign started by MyRepublic that is asking customer to cultivate good sleeping habits, well done, you got me. Gonna sleep early, no more games to play cause I can't even play.

Previously on 150mbps plan can max out local speeds with no problems at all..

Now in 1Gbps plan, 10 days old only.

can share more on your setup before i advice more?
Haha fact that previously on old NC no problem, switch to 1Gbps got problem - still need to 'share setup' to find out whats wrong?

MR has capacity issues at peak period at night, its pretty clear from all the complaints that are coming at the same time :s8:

I realise MyRepublic change a lot.
Not like last time when first launched in Singapore.
24X7 Technical Support as stated in the website, I don't think got people work 24X7 to pick up the call.
Can please remove it from the MyRepublic website and don't mislead me ? :s11:

I'm quite suprised about how can this question be asked.

---> The story is

During day time (Non-Peak Hours)
Using [speedtest.myrepublic.com.sg] and [speedtest.net telin server] to perform a simple bandwidth test; the result is that both are giving SAME RESULTS (Take note of the capital letters because I really am SHOUTING)

During night time (Peak Hours)
Using the the same method [speedtest.myrepublic.com.sg] and [speedtest.net telin server] to perform another simple bandwidth test. THE RESULTS VARY HUGELY!

if it is a setupp problem. why the hell in the day time works so well that i can sing praises to non-peak hours usage, but come peak hours suddenly it's our setup got issue

I dont mind if it's only one subscriber having such an issue, but SERIOUSLY if there is already a handfull of subscribers who are experiencing the same issue. Please go and reflect why would you believe the subscribers gang up and "create" a story. Please just hurry and go do your own testing. I'm sure you can check your employee list and see who lives in the North of Singapore. Go to their place and check ASAP if you dont have. I OFFER MY HOME FIBRE CONNECTION POINT FOR YOUR TESTING!

Guys, you must also make sure that your NIC can go support link speed above 100Mbps.

Just saying...

Anyway, I'm still waiting for MR to call. It's like we chase them and they taichi the blame to Open Net..
