I have decided to terminate my republic service as I will be the predominately the only user using internet at home. Just wondering, what will be collected from my republic? Would it be router and ONT? However, I have signed up M1 plan where the M1 installer have swapped the ONT for a new ONT but the older ONT has been taken by M1. Will Myrepublic require the old ONT back?

From my understanding, one has to return the NC ONT, the short network cable and fiber cable (not sure about this) back to MR.

Was it a fibertakeover, or port 2 activation from M1? If its port 2, by right they shouldn't take the ONT back...:s22::s22:

Refer to the previous parts on blocking 8.8.8.8 as Roku would default to google dns even if your DNS is set.

Once u block google dns it should use myrepublic dns so you can view netflix.

Pure 300 is only for existing customer from NC who do a upgrade/recontract.

New customer only 1gbps.

Services suck

Personally i had used MR for 2 years 3 months, and i don't advise you guys to sign up with MR due to various points.

1. Calling them when there's any issues is a hassle, waiting for like 1 hour before their billing team will pick it up (major frustration).

2. There are also "glitch" of customers being charge of unknown payment into their credit cards, so if i don't check my monthly bill i will pay extra unknowingly.

3. Of course the late installation of the fiber are already well known in SG, with some clients complaining in various social networking services.

I added a static route to block Google DNS and now I have a funky message from Netflix that it's now deactivated ... great !!

Latest post has a guy getting Netflix to work but not Hulu, albeit on a Roku1.

Personally I've had a customer not on MR, but under traffic light ISP, and managedto guide and get it setup for Unotelly via Roku3 just few days ago following the guide I linked.

The static route method works - I was unable to ping 8.8.8.8 when it was set in the router.

However, Netflix simply refused to load.

Thanks anyway !!

I have blocked Google DNS and Open DNS in my network for the past 4 months, but I still have Issue with Netflix for the past two days on my Roku 3, which loads until 25% and stops there forever. Last evening registered for Unotelly trial and Netflix started working..Probably I may continue with Unotelly. USD47 per year.

Thanks , raguraman. I was stuck at the 25% cursed mark as well. Will think about Unotelly.
