Sorry to ask, i tried to search the forum but i don't really know how.

with regard to the speedtest of myrepublic. How much should i be getting?

I'm connected via lan cable through Asus RT-AC66U with latest firmware,

This is my result.

Last Result:
Download Speed: 95001 kbps (11875.1 KB/sec transfer rate)
Upload Speed: 95079 kbps (11884.9 KB/sec transfer rate)
Latency: 2 ms
Jitter: 1 ms
1/3/2015, 11:13:04 PM

is this what you guys are getting? or should be more.

Suddenly today for no reason, I could access my
Asus Router but there was no internet access whether wired or wireless. Is internet accesss down for the entire MyRepublic like what happened earlier part of this year?
Tried calling the support helpline at 10+pm but the line was extremely busy.
even now at almost midnight, no one has returned my call although a recorded voice message said that calls from non private lines would be returned promptly.

Have you all tested with direct connection from ONT?

hmm just saw those posts about Netflix... so even Unotelly won't work?

Sent from GAGT Android App

Well according to this article the VPN providers are trying to come up with a fix. I'm quite surprised as to how paying customers who use VPNs to access Netflix are still considered pirates in the eyes of the copyright holders. Typical Hollywood studio dinosaur mentality :s8:

Are there still any MR reps in this forum? As of a couple of months ago, my 1GBps connection has been very very spotty. Even surfing sites (I've tried a variety to ensure that it's not just 1 particular site, there are often periods when there doesn't seem to be any connection.

Can anyone kindly offer some help as to what might be the reason please?

Its my free mth for Jan and Feb, my statement put as -$59.00, although status is "PAID". The last time i had free month, it was $0.00.

Still valid? Or best to check my account?

Guys

I kept having either webpage not found or incomplete loading of webpages recently. Do you guys know if this is due to ISP? I have tried on multiple MACs and it is the same.

Thanks for sharing.

It's the same greed as the region coded discs days. Buying original disc from the wrong region can still screw you. It's no wonder nobody really cares about piracy nowadays.

Seems like you guys having a lot of problems.

Mine sometimes got problem also. Dun know why also.

I got to off the router and moderm for 30 seconds and on power plug again. And wait for freaking 15mins to connect.

But always reconnect back.

I worry I upgrade to 300mbps or 1gbs also facing same problems as you guys.

my old 100mbps plan is over what do u all recommend changing to?
300mbps or 1gbps.. difference of $10 monthly but i'll need to fork out $ for
new routers if i change to 1gbps as my old 56U cant access 1gbps.
if 1gbps go for AC56U or AC87U? AC56U cant support 1gbps but then the actual speed seldom can go all the way to max speed right:s11:

Well , it also depends on how much u use , if u seldom used more than 20mbps of download like me , there is no point upgrading to 1Gbps plan might as well upgrade to the lowest plan which is 300Mbps and u can save that $10 for other things. :)
anyway , is the network to China website a bit laggy lately ? i have to refresh my browser a few times b4 webpage will load due to resolving host , speedtest to china also to to try a few times b4 the ping gets thru

Just swapped out the old ASUS RT-N15U for a new RT-AC66U.

Previously cannot use wireless in bedroom, now can surf at high speeds liao. Overall the surfing speeds quite stable.

Currently using PURE 100mbps but looking to upgrade to 1Gbps.

Will post the old and new speeds when my 1Gbps gets activated :)
