What do you mean by having it logged, all my correspondence with them the history can see in the email.

They know it, they just want to insist I was not at home and pay the reschedule fee. if I do not change my narrative, they do not want to go ahead with the reschedule. I intend to go down the the physical branch/HQ to resolve the issue, as they keep playing games over email, do you think it's a good idea?
I mean, you didn't state whether its through emails or calls. Only mentioned that you spoke to MR technician OTP.
If its through emails, use it to rebuke MR. If you got cameras at home, better yet notify them about the non-appearance of the MR technician then.

Not sure if their office is still at Toa Payoh, but you can give it a try.
Need advice if I decide not to go ahead with the re-contract at this stage, what fees would I need to pay?
By right shouldn't have any since not started yet.
Just loop IMDA in first...

Hi guys, just wanted to update my current setup so there's closure, and thank everyone so much for the advice.

Myrepublic Gamer 3Gbps with fixed ip - Taobao on the pc is sooo much smoother now. So are my other chinese webapps apps which I access frequently.

Router TP-Link ER8411 (2 x SFP+)
Switch China TP-Link TL-SE2420 (16 x 2.5G, 4 x SFP+)
https://item.taobao.com/item.htm?id=804961392643&skuId=5477119337852

Software omada to manage ER8411. I had trouble adopting initially somehow but worked fine after a factory restore)

Webapp/Android to manage TL-SE2404

SFP+ Module for ER8411/ONT (1.35W Using the link I found on this forums)
https://item.taobao.com/item.htm?id=612847277608&skuId=5490382412131

DAC Cable 0.5M for ER8411/TL-SE2420
https://item.taobao.com/item.htm?id=619248022182&skuId=4373724565395

I got a X550-T2 10Gbps PCIE card but I haven't gotten the time to install it. Writing this list made me realise I'm missing one SFP+ module.

Moving onwards, I'll probably buy more omada wifi 2.5G points and discontinue the existing U6 PROs. And also keep a lookout on nice routers 10Gbps Ethernet + SFP+ ports if/when they are available.

Signed up for MR Ultra 3Gbps with Fixed IP add-on a couple of months ago. Lately I've noticed that on my PC, Google thinks I am in Washington DC and nothing I do can change Google's opinion. I am not sure if related to the MR switch but going through Google's info, it says my IP address is a big determining factor of how Google gets my location.

I checked a few online "Where am I?" sites and they show Singapore. So I am at a loss. Has anyone else with MR noticed odd geolocation from Google?

Similar issue was reported by one Starhub customer (with dynamic IPv4 address). Netflix thinks he is out of Singapore and assume he is using VPN. My suggestion to him is to try to fresh the IPv4 address and then the issue got resolved.

In your case, unfortunately you cannot change your IPv4 address. You can only raise the issue with MR and hope they can help you.

Thanks. What's strange is netflix and other streaming services know I am in SIngapore. When I look up the IP Range I am using, it seems to come back as Singapore as well.

Installed Microsoft Maps and it knows I am in Singapore and sets the location for most apps looking for location as Singapore. Bing knows I'm here, Duck Go Go knows I'm here. My android mobile when connected to the home network says Singapore too (that's probably from the GPS).

But Google on my PC still says Washington DC. All my default searches come back assuming I'm there. m I'm seen a few other posts around the web complaining about the same thing with no real solution. I might try uninstalling and reinstalling as a last result.

If anyone wants recommendations for good restaurants around Washington DC or Virginia, let me know......

You could enable location sercices for Google as a temporary workaround for now.

If you're logged in, it should respect your account settings. Otherwise it's their internal location prediction systems which decide where you're located!

Enabled lah. Makes no difference.

Yeah, I suspect it's Google's internal systems. Just tried with a couple of different VPNs checking what google sees when I tunnel to different countries (Aus, UK, Japan, US & Singapore). When I tunnel via the VPN, it picks the right countries, including Singapore. When using my native internet, I am in Washington DC.

Will talk to MT support now, or at least when they answer the phone.
