My MR sim card was delivered liao!

I installed the MR app and checked the billing cycle. 1st of the month. :o

confirmed will be on 1st of the month. and one tip to u.

u can use 300 mins talktime, 300 sms and 6GB data in full for this two days. becos they will be refreshed on 1st of august.

haha.

a good extra for having the service activated on the last few days of the month.

Any Bros know whether or not your old line will remain on your email once you cancelled it? Like in the case for giga. Or will it be removed from your account? Thanks

Once u cancel your old line, it will probably be recycled for other new customer's use lor. Maybe there will be a period of no usage but not all service providers has this period, and put up the number immediately for recycle.

no. it will be removed. even if u have only one MR line and u terminate it. ur account will no longer be accessible. it will be removed too.

just go to store to sign up physically. account billing cycle starts from the date u sign up.

yes, likely will be recycled later.

Yeah so if I have another number still on the account, just the number I cancelled will be gone uh.

I see so I can go physically sign up on like 29/30/31 of the month? Or must it be on the 1st

yes, only active number will be in.

by default, if u sign up a second line, it will use ur email address plus 3 random number at the behind for ur second line login id. u can tell the CSO to combine the account under one email address for u.

either one. 29th to 31th. any one day will do.

yes, a super big hassle to do so especially all the bank OTP is crucial for day to day usage.

worse case is that if there is anything that is linked to the existing number but forgot to update will cause a lot more hassle too.

Yeah, that's why 1 week ago I started the process of changing the number for banks and govt. Sometimes it takes 3 working day. Also updated NS portal, all done.

I see.

Best is to get a nice number and stick to it.
My current main line no is the 3rd that I has been using and that time I spent $38 to buy at M1. One of the earlier batch of ‘8’ starting number. Does not lose to the 8889 xxxx number from giga.
I will just stick to this main number since it is better for people to find me too.

Just now was a super simple 5mins process to port in my giga number to replace my M1 main number. But waited for the queue for 20mins 😂

All the telcos waiting hours are quite long. M1 and Singtel particularly. Especially Singtel always long queue a lot of time need to wait for more than 1 hour if go queue on the spot. That’s why I always sign up online for Singtel. Delivery to home. Online has better promo than on site too. But of course if other service related matters no choice but still have to queue there.

This morning called up the MyRepublic card delivery man, he say one morning 10am to 1pm timeslot, he has to deliver 12 places.

So that's 3 hours of 12 different places. 15mins for each place (including travelling time). 🤔🤔. Mad rush for him.

Kudos to him.

To which country? I called Taiwan for like 2 mins, it was like 2 cents. Very cheap

My all calls to bolehland using MR Talk app previously were all free. To both fixed lines and mobile lines. Confirmed they were free becos even I terminated my line and there were no extra charge. So nice. Haha.
