Anyone having issue porting out of MyRepublic-M1?

Tried porting out to giga twice, both instances failed. MyRepublic insist there is no issue at their end.

Nope, only heard about giga porting issues here. Or could you check with giga why porting failed?

Have u tried selecting 'M1' as the ex in the giga app/website?

If u did and still it didn't work, will need to submit a service ticket through your MyRepublic account for the CSO to reply.

I had issues when porting over to giga too. Selected both 'MyRepublic' or 'M1' didn't work. In the end I submitted a service ticket for the CSO to reply.

If u ask me, I think they somehow got a default mechanism whereby they reject all port outs until subscriber ownself submit service ticket for the CSO to manually intervene. :s22:

I think it's also because MyRepublic is the only MVNO that has subscribers on Starhub and M1. Hence, giga might think MyRepublic=Starhub. Hence, when they try to ask starhub, number not found as it's in M1 server.

Should Giga not ask MR directly, why would they bypass the "owner" of that number? It's a MR account after all.

During my stint of porting from MyRepublic to giga, my requests failed, whether be it selecting "MyRepublic" or "M1". Only upon submitting the service request (and get serviced by actual human CSO) helped in resolving the issue.

In any case I didn't bother asking them why so troublesome to port out of MR.

I suspect that for some number ports, the incoming MVNO directly approaches the parent network that the outgoing MVNO number uses, such as in the case of MR Lite plan, which uses M1 network.

Thanks for all the replies. Will try to select M1 as the operator for porting out. If it still fail, will approach giga customer support.

when i transferred my MR line out, the new service provider asked me if it is SH or M1 line, then he proceeded to process it from his laptop.

No.... still need to approach your MyRepublic customer support too. Sometimes the problem is at their end.

Hi

Anyone has SMS receiving problems with MyRepublic?
if cannot receive SMS, it is not a reliable mobile line since some apps/ sites use OTP.

I was trying to update my CPF mobile number and some apps.. cannot get OTP. Some other apps can...
and also when trying to send sms from my Starhub mobile to MR line, cannot receive...
but when i sent sms from my other prepaid Mcard to MR line, can receive.. then all SMS go through...
but the OTP SMS for CPF still did not arrive...
then i tried Starhub line to MR line again, cannot receive... until i use prepaid Mcard line to try send againto MR line then can... weird...

Sending out SMS no problems...

I have asked the CSO to help on this, but it seems that I also cannot receive test SMS from them...
Just wondering if this is unique to me or has anyone experienced this?

No problems with OTP or sms.

It's maybe the newer number you had that's causing the problem.

My newer circle line got this otp problem, is a random number given during signup, but MyRepublic number that I have used for 30yrs+ no such problems with whatever telcos.

Yeah, but it is very weird problem though.
I don't want to miss out OTP's, especially from CPF/ Credit cards/ banks like that.

I'll try get another number instead. And if that new one no issues, will close my old MR number.

It seems only Circle and Myrepublic MVNO can use VOLTE.
How is the connection data speed and Volte voice call of Myrepublic?
I was thinking applying a new line.
Also the data roaming ok?
