Never port to my republic. I m waiting for last 4 days to get my number port. Their customer care says it will happen with in 2 days after the sim delivered. Already 4 days over. Now they say wait. Keep paying for both starhub and My republic. As my republic biking already started. Before porting they had already mailed the invoice.

I can wait. No rush. Coverage? Anyone have thoughts on it

yep got it, yet to decide which plan to upgrade from UNO8.

Did they mentioned that changing the plan to Lite will also change operator also?

Because UNO8 is under Starhub , but when MyRepublic launch Lite plan, all sign ups after 31 March will be under M1

Definitely will change to M1 if change to the $10 plan. There is nothing wrong with the MR-M1 usage.

I was previously on UNO plan, on starhub. Ported out and ported in again just to get Lite plan. Because it wasn't offered to us as there was technical difficulty changing from Starhub to M1 in MyRepublic. They told me an agreement has to be made between M1 and Starhub.

Not sure if not agreement has been made to transfer UNO customers to Lite from Starhub to M1 or remain on Starhub but on Lite plan. You might need to check with them

For those on MyRepublic-Starhub SIM card, you need to follow the instructions to change the SIM Card Profile from StarHub to M1.

After switching the profile, the MR-SH physical SIM will now churn out MR-M1 IMSI number.

So I think the change plan process will port out from StarHub network to M1 Network. Physical SIM card remains the same just need swap SIM profile.

let say I upgrade to a new plan, it starts from the new billing date or from the date I changed plan.

This is a good question, myrepublic mobile change of plan follow billing cycle.

But for this case that it need to port over from Starhub to m1 network, you should ask myrepublic directly.

Similar to M1. My colleagues last week switched to MyRepublic Core plan from M1. So far so good

Is there no one to call at Myrepublic at these hours???? I just received the following smses from myrepublic suddenly.

MyRepublic:
Your request to change your mobile plan to Lite Plan has been received. To begin the change plan process, we'll need to update your SIM Card network profile. This will happen within the next 3 working days. We'll inform you once the date is confirmed and when the process is completed. For more information, please see http://bit.ly/MyRSIMc

Your SIM Card network profile will be updated in the next 3 working days. At some point during this period your SIM Card will display 'No Service'. To continue your service, please follow the instructions at http://bit.ly/MyRSIMc to update your SIM Card settings. Thank you:

Your number port request will be processed by your previous service provider on 13 Nov 20. You will be notified via SMS upon approval or rejection.

I do not want the change and am scared it is too late by the time I call them in the morning. This is ridiculous.

You agreed to the change? But why suddenly u turn and say too late to change. It's not ridiculous. You know these MVNO does not have 24hr support. Do call them again tmr morning.

Anyway, plan change is good, you get more data at extra $2/mth.

No i did not initiate the change, the only thing I could think of was that I was checking my usage in the app when it crashed. Then 5 mins later these smses came in. M1 is half the speed of starhub at the locations I frequent. So definitely not a change for the better.

MR used to have 24 hrs support, I used to call them in the wee hours of the night because that is when the calls will get through faster. Thing is I received an SMS saying that my number porting is being initiated, and now an unknown number is in my account. So I don't know if it can wait until the morning.

Edit: I also found that they removed the additional 10gb they initially awarded me for the month. Sigh.
