hi i m new to this

is the myrepublic line using M1 network not recommended now?

i know that they always have maintenance/ no network twice a week 2-6am ...

Maintenance abt once a mth 2-5am. Last time i with singtel also maintenance once a mth

I do not have problems with my republic, always overshot 6gb and still usable for main functions such as singpass safeentry checkin, ibabking token/ paynow, google pay, shopback go/qoo10/shopee/lazada voucher redemption in store, capitastar/lendlease/Mmalls evoucher redemption at cashier, etc

Most of the time download more important due to steaming music and video and pictures on platforms like YouTube, TikTok, Instagram etc

Your up to 6mbps speed depends on location. If your most frequent locations used during office hours is bad, suggest to try other telcos.

If only your weekend locations or after office hours is bad, it is due to overcrowding and it is mostly the same as everyone.

An example is at Jurong East MRT, TPG download 1-2mbps, ST 3-6mbps, SH 1-2 mbps. That’s during going home time about 6pm.

The key is still, can you access the network or totally down during peak hours or crowded places?

I wanted to port over MR from M1. Went to MR physical shop a few days ago and the staff said porting over from M1 is down until January. Anyone encountered the same thing?

My personal experience? Just do online. The staff manning the counter will just ask you to fill up the form which was available online and he will just Post the form using Singpost. Wasted my time spent going there.

I actually thought that they will do the porting on the spot keying directly into their system.

Also from M1 to MR.

It's the same actually online and offline in stores, just that if you do in-stores, SIM Card and delivery will be free. If online, need to pay $5 for delivery

Just to clarify my experience above is regarding porting in my M1 number to existing MYR account.
If signing up, yes get it done at the store if you're able to.

Yes. I was told the same thing on 14/12 when I sign up at amk hub.
the staff mention porting will be suspended from 16/12 to end Dec for M1. I tot he was kidding. My porting was done on 15/12 evening
