Giga sms is automated reply... I'm with MR for 6 mths with no outstanding bills so not sure what went wrong... Anyway giga no live support can only send in feedback form which I did. This was the original sms (w/o my number)

Hi hi, seems like your ex is clingy. Your request to move xxxxxxxx over to giga was unsuccessful. Most times it's because your original line and giga line are registered under different names or ID numbers. If that's not the case, do check in with your original telco to find out why. Meanwhile, your giga line remains active so you can stay connected.

Had the same issue. Turns out I had to select M1 as my previous service provider instead as MR was under Starhub network previously.

So do I need to resubmit a port out request again? Or giga will be 'smart' enough to settle on their end?

I submitted another port in request via the Giga app. Once the port in was successful I contacted them again to let them know the issue was resolved.

Yes, ported to TPG from MR, seems like most telco think MR is under Starhub mvno, and it fail. Just select m1 after that and ported successfully.

Is your feeling from experience with MR when they're with Starhub and now when they're with M1, or through your experiences from the 2 telco directly (that is, not via the MVNO)?

My direct experience with these 2 telcos is such that I'd not dare touch SH anymore (left so quickly after 3 tries that I didn't even bother with the $14 credit balance in the account), while I still have a couple of lines with M1. I was looking forward to MR when they're coming aboard the local mobile scene, but didn't bother when they started operating under SH. I thought they'd be our 4th telco back then...

I've never had an MVNO line in SG, but now looking at MR because I need an eSIM with a budget of $10/month.

port-ins from non-M1 numbers

I've been seeing the above phrase in MR's website. I've a TPG line that's previously from M1, and now looking at MR as I need an eSIM.

Anyone knows if MR will consider such a number as non-M1 since it's going to be porting from TPG?

I am sharing based on a customer from MR when using SH network to now switch to M1 network. In term of usage on red line and green line when commutting around. I feel the difference in connectivity and also data speed. based on in my own opinion. :s12:

I think the non-M1 part is not the number range, but where was the number on right before.

Your number can be from SingTel originally, but was ported to M1, then to MyRepublic, and the promo is not applicable to you because the donor telco is M1, not SingTel.

The question that should be asked is, what if the number is currently on Circles.Life, GeeNet, Changi Mobile or Gorilla Mobile? Are they treated as on SGP-M1, and therefore promotion is invalid for them?

the lite plan seems good with &1.99 top up for extra 10GB, making it $11.99/mth for 16GB.
Not sure if it is perpetual... can't seem to find the info from the site.
As long as you manage to price lock the $1.99 for 10GB add-on, it should stay with you until you remove this recurring add-on.

Currently there is 2 different 10GB add-on, $5.99 and $1.99.

$8 MyRepublic 8 customer cannot subscribe to the $1.99 add-on. If can it will be $9.99 for 12GB data, 1000 minutes of call and 1000 sms
