Hi, would to check with those who have signed up recently, are you all made to pay $100 security deposit? Many of us with no credit issue was made to pay this security deposit last year.

What is this? Any screenshot? I did not need to pay anything when signing up for MyRepublic

No issue for me and as a matter of fact they wouldn't tell you the cause

Exactly. It also happened to me a few years back.

They seem to impose the deposit on those with neutral credit issue too, like me who didn't have payment record simply because my father was the account holder at that time. I mean if they impose the deposit on those dun pay their bills promptly or owe money, I understand. But this deposit imposed on even neutral credit score is simply unreasonable.

I decided to give my business to other providers instead.

Got this message too. Decided not to take up the plan. Don’t have any bad debt or late payments either.

It’s pretty ridiculous they are asking for a $100 deposit for a non-contract plan. My guess is they are propping up their reserves to service their own debts and obligations instead of taking loans from banks.

And if you terminate, they only return the money in 4-6 weeks. Disgusting.

weird this issue is popping out in myr with $100 deposit , i never seen this reported in other telco / mvno yet

Worth switching from 4G Zero1 @17.90 a month to my republic's base 5G plan? Getting a 5G enabled phone soon was thinking of doing it, but not sure now stable the connection is esp while in train tunnels.

no issues on Starhub network 4g /5g even on EW line and town area .. my house even get 5g network..

I believe they do not even have NSA service contracted from Starhub, how to allow?
Thus, its only SA connection.
