I just made the switch. Seems like most of the times will still be connected to 4g more than 5g.
if you're on iPhone, try setting 5G option to "5G On", not "5G Auto". I am able to connect to 5G 75% of the time.
But still, StarHub 4G network is good enough. Very fast

Has anyone tested MyR 5G plans on iPhone 15 Pro series?
Chatted with their live support and they cannot confirm whether it will work, lol joke as usual.

Edit: Their support die die keeps sending the list, so I take it that it's not compatible.
no need to worry. Their list is just not updated. Of course it will work.

I'm on android. So far connection seems okay except for a certain area at my workplace where there is a deadspot for the 5g. No connection and have to manually turn off 5g for 4g to kick in.

Are you on 5G eSIM?
Forgot to mention I am specifically talking about their 5G eSIM, which they will only entertain if the device is listed as compatible.

I'm using eSIM on iPhone 13 mini.
Technically, since MyRepublic 5G eSIM is effectively a StarHub eSIM, as long as StarHub supports iPhone 15, there should be no problem adding a MyRepublic eSIM to it.
But if you want to be 100% safe, maybe should wait a while until MyRepublic adds this phone to the list.

The thing is Starhub doesn't provide eSIM themselves.
I have had a bad experience previously with MyR, after assuming that my S21 Ultra would have no issues with their 5G SA eSIM, because S21 Ultra supports it.
Ended up not being able to register the sim to my phone, and then realize on their list it is stated as incompatible, and wasting 1 month worth of subscription fees.
Had to port out to another telco, otherwise got to pay $3x.xx to swap to physical SIM.

Edit to add: FYI S21 Ultra 5G is listed as supported device on Starhub website for their 5G.

Understand you had bad experience with MR before.
If I were you, I would be confident to try it on new iPhone 15. I am pretty confident that a newer version of phone will support all features & compatibilities from prev version of phone. If iPhone 13 and 14 both can do, then 15 confirm can.

S21 indeed does not support their eSIM. Understandable, since it's an early 2021 phone, came before iPhone 13.
S22 onwards does support their eSIM.

But still, maybe not worth it for the try, unless your company can reimburse phone bill or stuff.

Bro…

my 2year MR broadband contract ending in 3 weeks. Is there option to downgrade the speed/payment plan ?

I currently paying $39.90.

i am considereing whizzcom or viewquest cheapo plans. Those $30 plans
eh, just continue on on MR if its working fine, I was out of contract for 6 months before recontracting.
I believe you can't downgrade from my interactions with MR support previously IIRC.
Your $39.90 should be on 1GB plan?

Whizzcomm is using Singtel infra, VQ as per the thread nott really recommended as its a hit and miss depending on your area and unless added with Static IP .
Suggest you head over to IBNC on MR's thread to read through and get better clarity.
