Hi.
Switch to MyRepublic 5G early this year.
So far ok except when it switch to Starhub 4G blindspot.

Planning to switch my wife line to MyRepublic 5G.
Is the promo of $17.95 for 100Gb in which you need to apply at the shop still available?
I think the 5G standard plan at $17.95 no longer available liao!.
Now MyRepublic is pushing the 5G Plus plan at $19.95 with 110GB.
Btw, the $17.95 plan is with 90GB.

Anyone has issues with the connection? Using the 5g plan (starhub). Pages are loading slowly regardless 5g or 4g. Seemed like started from last night. Switched to circles life (secondary sim), no issues. Thanks.

I got the same issue too recently. Not sure why also. Using wifi or other sim works fine though.

I just contacted the MR staff via live chat during lunch time. The staff claimed no issue with my line. Suggested to me to try to put the sim card into another phone; to rule out sim card issue. Also try to take screenshots of speedtest results through different timing (morning, afternoon, evening) to see if there is any network issues.

I suddenly wondered whether my adblocker app and its private dns settings might have caused this. So, I went to set private DNS to off. So far seems to be fine leh. Will monitor again when I travel home from office. Did you set anything in private dns?

But I also don't understand, private dns should be device wide, but secondary sim's connection and wifi connection seem okay.

Private DNS yes, I included the DNS ad guard so as to screen out my ads.

But if that is the cause, then why use other sims no issue?

If they really deprioritised the connection when we are using private DNS, then I cannot be bothered liao. Gonna port out soon then.

Don't think is the private dns. I disabled it le. 5g speedtest was 400+mbps.. then play a game (clash royale, lag), then change to 4g circlelife (m1) no lag at all. Jialat. But I don't see a lot of complaint in this forum sia. And only started like yesterday.
