would said that best u guys check the respective telecom policy or call up those helplines. over here if they spoonfed u guys also no point...since the rights is still somewhere with the telecom not us and if they happen to tell u all these **** and said that internet not updated, u also LLST

I have my 2x starhub shared plan with main plan, transfered to myrepublic. As long is not prepaid will be fine. But as what others said, better to check again before doing transfer.

Received MR SIM

So MyRepublic sent me an envelope containing the SIM card through UParcel delivery.

The email containing the login details were also released to me once I signed the verification on the UParcel delivery agent's app.

Apparently the instructions for APN are:

For Android: Enter "MyRepublic" for the Name and APN fields.

For iPhone: For both the Mobile Data and Personal Hotspot sections, enter "MyRepublic" for the APN field.

Save your settings and select "MyRepublic" as the default APN.

Yeah.. I switched from Singtel to MyRepublic. Changed number and terminated Singtel SIM Only plan mid-contract due to MyRepublic offering a better deal, and also because the number I received was a recycled number and the spam SMSes are becoming more annoying.

Bonus: Did a speedtest before terminating my Singtel contract.

No my M1 line is paid for by myself using my mum's name. I had a separate Singtel line under my name. Cancelling the line now due to constant bursting of the 30GB cap.

You should have applied for MultiSIM on M1, force LTE only mode without VoLTE on, and get the Uno plan. M1 4G for unlimited data (which is way better than 80GB MR data), and StarHub 3G/4G (via MR) for long talktime.

$18.70/mth for unlimited data (with $37.45-48.15 upfront MultiSIM cost) with more than adequate voice and text.

That's assuming you've dual-SIM 4G+3G or 4G+4G handset.

It sounds super dumb for me being M1 customer telling you all these so you can hog up all my bandwidth as well, but whatever.

LOL I have MultiSIM already. Using one M1 SIM on my Note8, the other M1 SIM on my iPhone X, and then the MyRepublic one for home WiFi (which my parents use, I rarely use it). Plus I have no room for 2 SIM cards on one phone as I am a heavy storage user, having 64GB internal storage on my Note8 and a 400GB SD card in it as well. Take that coupled with a 256GB storage on my X.

Main reason why I took up the MR SIM for home wifi (via 4G mifi router) is because at home the usage never exceeds 65GB, so the 80GB plan is sufficient there. Plus, I want variety instead of having to use MultiSIM on my router as well.

On a sidenote, I think I have cracked the mystery of the MyRepublic codes, after about 3 hours of experimentation and research.

LIST OF MYREPUBLIC MOBILE VALID CODES (REUSABLE, TESTED AS OF 27 MAY 2018 1400HRS GMT+8):

FORMAT OF MYREPUBLIC CODES FOLLOW THIS RULE:

- THERE ARE 6 ALPHABETS (OR 3 ALPHABETS 3 DIGITS) AND 1 DIGIT TO MAKE UP ONE CODE
- FIRST 3 ALPHABETS ARE FIXED AS "LWX", "NNH" OR "RGB"
- LAST 3 ALPHABETS CAN BE OF ANY COMBINATION STARTING FROM "AAA" AND ENDING WITH "ZZZ"
- DIGIT TAKES ANY NUMBER FROM 1 TO 5

Hmm I thought you use the MR SIM instead lol.

M1 do allow 2 MultiSIMs don't they? Means can have 3 lines with the same mobile number and bill plan.

But I won't be surprised if M1 starts throttling once you hit 300GB per month though.
